Some wonderful views. It's a safe area. Some of the prices are very low and the food is excellent. Two days is enough in Kochi, one day enough in Athirapilly, three days Munnar, three days Kumily. We finished off with seven days in Alleppy which was a day too long. Research on accomodation essential. Don't be frightened of homestays or eating out but be careful and wash your hands properly and often especially after handling food. Lakefront experience, inland from Kochi and slightly different. Less infrastructure. Ok place to be if you are not in a hurry. Quite muggy but that is to be expected for the region.
