Lara with her mother and father were like the happiest and friendliest people we've met in Bosnia, they went the extra step and further to meet our needs. They even lent us bicycles to go down to Una National Park. Honestly, if we ever come back to Bihac we will stay at Lara&Sara or don't come at all

We stayed for 2 days at Hotel Tazz, a lovely family-run business where we were treated like relatives rather than just guests. From the start, the hospitality was warm and heartfelt.
The hotel is exceptionally clean – truly above 5-star standards. One of the best parts was the royal breakfast, which was absolutely delicious and should not be missed!
The location is peaceful and scenic, right by the river, with beautiful views all around. It’s only about 25 minutes to Bihać, and there’s a gas station and grocery store right next to the hotel, which is very convenient.
Allen went above and beyond for us. He was incredibly helpful and generous, offering assistance with anything we needed – whether it was guidance, recommendations, or help in the city. Nothing was too much trouble for him. His kindness truly made a difference in our stay.
Also, a big thank you to the lady at the front desk – she was so friendly, polite, and welcoming. Her warmth made us feel right at home.
We highly recommend Hotel Tazz to anyone visiting the area. It’s not just a place to stay – it’s an experience filled with genuine care and hospitality.

Bihac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is up north and near Croatia...
Bihac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is up north and near Croatia border. So it deserves a visit, at least for two days. We have visited Bihac for two days and it was so enough to cover Bihac attractions and other surrounding beautiful areas. There are some good restaurants in Bihac such as River Dock restaurant, Emerald restaurant Visiting Bihac city will allow you to visit and enjoy other attractions in other towns such as Travnic, Jajce, eyc, In Travnik you can try Bosnian kabbab at Hari restaurant in the center. In Jajce you could eat in Plivesko jezzero lake, Motel plaza.
Here is ,again , our review of our cottage Flora &Fauna Una, Bihac:
Flora &Fauna Una, BIhac are nice cottages scattered around una river. Our cottage was a clean and beautiful cottage on Una river, Bihac. . It is good for short stay and camping on the river. It is away from hustle and bustle of the city. The place is enjoyable and quiet particularly between 7 pm to 6 am. More or less, the cottage is fully equipped with all necessary and basic needs. The owners are very accommodating, respectful, nice and helpful. Many thanks to Mr. Kamal and Sanad and their family for welcoming us upon arrival and showing their interest to help. Thanks Kamal and Sanad for providing us with microwave. Unfortunately, The cottage we have booked through Booking was not suitably fit my family of 5 adults but nicely suitable for small family ( two couples with one or two kids). To improve the quality of the property, It would be more nice to add Oven/stove, microwave and washing machine. The sink in the bathroom is small and better to change it by a bigger one. Putting sign at the entrance to make it easy to find the place

Beautiful scenery along the riverside in the town.
Beautiful scenery along the riverside in the town. National Park Una is nearby but you can only explore more if driving. Otherwise, only limited spot can be reached by public transport like us only visited Štrbački buk, the big waterfall by taking bus and walk 2 hours 8km to the waterfall and return the same in total 4 hours 16km. We could not found any local tour in Bihac for National Park Una and have to give up another major spot, Martin Brod which is 12km away from the final bus station at Kulen Vakuf.

To be honest we only came to Bihac, because it was comparably cheap to sleep there, for visiting the Plitvice lakes in Croatia.
One main drawback of staying in Bihac and visiting Plitvice is the Bosnian / Croatian border crossing. Expect lots of waiting time, something we overlooked on our part. On average we would wait for 20 to 30 minutes per crossing, which can result in a lot of stress if you booked a specific time slot for visiting the lakes.
Bihac still has many visible memories from the war, which makes for a grim decor, giving sometimes an eerie vibe to the whole. I failed to feel completely safe during my stay, and I am not sure because of my prejudice, or just my unfamiliarity with Bosnia as a whole.
I fail to really read the people. Some of them were super friendly, others really gave me a vibe like I shouldn't be there, and I really did not like the many men in the street openly eyeballing my fiancé. It gave me a very conservative vibe, which does not inspire me to go there again

This is a good place to start visiting the national parks...
This is a good place to start visiting the national parks close by, but Bihac as such does not really have much to offer. I suspect that might have something to do with the Yugoslav war, where Bihac experienced a lot of action. Once you get out of the center, you start to see some of the damage.

The beautifully decorated ambiance of this apartment provides a pleasant vacation for the whole family. Additionally, the apartment is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure to make one feel at home, as it has everything one might need in everyday life. Furthermore, this apartment is located in the very center of Bihać, which is convenient for its proximity to all the most important amenities necessary for life, including religious sites, pharmacies, markets, bakeries, cafes, and more.
Excellent location, just a few minutes of walking from the city center. The neighborhood appears to be safe; the Police station is just nearby. Bihac in general is nice place to visit. River Una well known for its crystal clean water flows through the city. There are many places for nature lovers to visit, such as: Japoldski Otoci, Strbacki Buk waterfall, Martin Brod, Green Islands, Ostrozac Castle, Plitvice Lakes, etc.
The room was very spacious. The location of the accommodation is right next to the city center. The host is very friendly, he also gave us tourist information about the city, suggested good restaurants in the city, etc. When I visit Bihać next time, I will rent this room again. The location is also suitable for motorcyclists.
The position of the Hotel is a blessing and a curse.
Situated on the river bank with a gorgeous park right to its side, it's in the perfect spot if you're looking to enjoy a nature view and relax.
