They had a free dry cleaning service. Tahir at the reception desk was so helpful for this matter and he was very attentive on this.
Also the room was so clean. Modern rustic furniture was excellent design. If I come to Samarkand again I’d only stay in this hotel for sure.

Beautiful! Not just because of the historical monuments, which is what attracts most tourists, but thanks to superb city planning - wide streets, cleanliness everywhere, well maintained green areas, lots of flowers, NO GRAFITI! The city architect (i.e. authorities in charge of the city's appearance) deserve all praise for the distinct and harmonious style of contemporary, new buildings. Very friendly people with many adorable children - obviously a family-oriented society. A visit to the traditional paper mill and crafts center (Konigil) is a must. Siob bazar, Registan Square, Gur Amir (Timur's mausoleum - 50 m from the Daniyar hotel), Bibi Khanum complex, Ulughbeg's Observatory.

My visit duration to Samarkand was for 3.5 days (4 ) nights. All major attraction are within walking distance from Registan Square. Ticket prices for attractions (May 2025) range from 40k to 65k. With the exception of Registan, ticket is for daily entry. For Registan (65k), ticket for single entry only. There is a nightly light show and a laser show starting at 8pm. Go early for front row unhindered viewing. During the day, it is very warm, better to stay under shades.
For Shakhi -Zinda (tombs for royal ladies), very popular for visitors. Go early morning or at sunset to avoid crowds. Amazing blue tiles!
Most restaurants near major sites tag on 10-15% service charge on top of menu prices. Very safe to walk in the evenings.

I would say, that Samarkand is a university city with beautiful parks along the entire city center and Registan area. I often had lunch at the Samarkand restaurant, they offer a large selection of salads, soups and bread that they prepare themselves. The best place is the Giotto Gourmet restaurant with a beautiful terrace and good food.
Architecture, history, and green, clean parks make the city awesome.

It was a great experience and congratulations for the development of your services. But why the show of the history of Samarkand with the wall project was only in Uzbeky speaking?
People is very polite but sometimes they increase their prices when they realise that we are tourists.
As a comment we would like to add that it was a very clean city with helpful citizens

Samarkand is famous for its stunning Islamic monuments, and they truly are worth visiting for. However, the city also has some amazing archaeology and more recent history to offer. I enjoyed looking at the courtyard-house neighbourhoods, big city boulevards with busy traffic, and the buzzling bazaars. Food here is delicious everywhere you go, so I would return just for that alone. In the surroundings of the city, there are historical landmarks and nature sites that seem interesting. Therefore, I would recommend staying several days in Samarkand.

A visit to Samarkand is a step back in time in more ways than one. Step in to the past of the silk route and visit the majestic madrasas and mausoleums and lesser explored historic districts of the old town where you will find centuries old traders houses and courtyards.
Step back into the former Soviet Union, socialist architecture, hearty foods and relics of a Soviet Socialist past.

Hello, I want to talk about this hotel. Modreids is a nice place, not bad. Nice atmosphere. Toilets are fine. Shower is fine. Reasonable bed in a room full of carpets. You are asked not to wear shoes in the room. This is also by the way the mentality in all of Uzbekistan. Ten rooms in a square shape where each room is very, very large compared to hotels in the middle there is a cute patio with plants and some trees give you a good feeling very reasonable price I really recommend I recommend
Located in a beautiful building, we felt comfortable staying at his hotel. Staff is probably the best feature of this establishment, the guy at the reception speaks a good English, and this is a great plus in a country like Uzbekistan where most people don't speak European languages. Breakfast was excellent, tasty food and good variety of things. Good quality-price relation, I would stay here again.
The lady who runs the place was incredibly friendly and helpful. This was some of the best hospitality we experienced anywhere in Uzbekistan!
Comfortable room with a great view of the Gur-i-Amir. Really good AC (essential in Samarkand this time of year!). Good shower.
Incredible breakfast (way too much food for us but it was all so tasty) and tray of fruits and other snacks when we arrived!
Exceptional modern hotel
Better rooms than any 5 star Hilton or Marriot hotel. Best hotel in our Uzbekistan trip. I would definitely recommend and come again.
Taxi is cheap so for £2 (comfort taxi)you can reach city in 20 mins.
Wonderful hotel, very decorated. Our best breakfast in Uzbekistan, supported by an amazing staff. The only staff who didn’t try to scam us but, instead, gave us useful tips about local life and local eatery.
