Dinning, nature, history. 200 miles (300km) from Merida, and in between cities Chichen-Itza. So highly recomended. As always the people are beautiful wonderful and inviting. They take pride in there country. They love to share their culture. They are the reason we keep coming back! It's easy getting places by taxi and shuttles. We visited the hotel zone which has alot of activities such as the mall and pier. On the pier are great restaurants. We chose senor frogs. I would like to warn people of a store in Downtown Cancun.
I would like to warn people of a store in Downtown Cancun. It is called Supermanzana 28. Busses stop there. It is across the way from the Walmart Cancun. The Supermanzana 28 is a large store with souvenirs, liquor, jewelry, bags and many other items. BEWARE this store! They are scam artists. They tell you one price and when you purchase it they charge a different price. They hope you don't notice it. A bottle of Mayan liquor that we like should have cost about $13 to less than $20 USD or form $270 to $400 Mx pesos. We were told that the liquor would cost us $270 Mx pesos and we noticed that they charged the credit card about 1000% more than they told us it cost. We researched this store afterwards and saw that everyone advised people to stay away because they seem to scam everyone. STAY AWAY FROM SUPERMANZANA 28. Everything was perfect and served as they promised. Special thanks for our butler, Adrian. He made all reservations to all 5 restaurants and hole facility activities. Everything was going smoothly and enjoyable food and shows. Every day, Adrian sent messages to remind us about reservations and activities, just to make sure we're not missing anything in facility. If you have travelled around Mexico you know the concept of “Plunge Pool” - this is kind of pool to be expected there and perfect to cool off.
