The beach is difficult to swim because of the jelly fishes and there is a lot of boat close to the swim area. The vendors are very insistent and bugging. Generally Nungwi is a great place with very friendly people.My best activities were Snorkeling and dolphin watching mnemba and chasing Sunset at Nungwi Beach.If on budget,use motorbikes (bodaboda)to move around,they are cheaper.For food you can enjoy traditional cuisine at the restaurants near the beach.Also stick around for a bonfire beach party in the evening to enjoy some drinks and traditional dances.Guest review byKinya - 6.0

For walkability and number of restaurants and hangouts, Nungwi is great. If you want to just relax on the beach and not venture out much, nearby Kendwa seems like the best bet. Such a vibrant and beautiful island, and the locals are pleasantly welcoming. If you like water sports or activities, Nungwi is definitely a place to visit.
