Merricks Cottage is situated on a quiet country lane nestled in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula. Only an hours drive from Melbourne, Merricks Cottage offers an idyllic escape from the city to enjoy a taste of Mornington Peninsula life.

The perfect weekend getaway, whether you’re seeking a relaxing romantic break, an outdoors adventure or a weekend of indulgence discovering the local produce.

Everything is at your fingertips, beautiful beaches, wineries, walks, markets, restaurants - there is so much to enjoy. Our neighbours, Merricks General Wine Store and Stonier Wines are only a 2-minute walk down the lane.

Pampered pooches are welcome. All requests will be considered on application. Pets must be house trained, they are not allowed on bedding or furniture and must be supervised. Pet stay - $50 (per pet)

Merricks Cottage has 2 bedrooms and comfortably accommodates up to 5 adults.

Please note, nightly cost is based on 2 adults sharing master bedroom.

Beautiful property + pet friendly

We stayed here for 3 nights over new year and had the most wonderful stay. The property is beautiful - very clean, bright and airy, well furnished, comfy beds, and everything smells beautiful. Lynda is lovely and had thought of all the little finishing touches - including local jam, fresh produce from the garden, and even a bottle of local sparkling wine to celebrate the new year. Our dog Herbie had a great time too - the property is fully fenced, the beautiful garden is very spacious, and there were even some local dog treats for him (which he loved). We will definitely be back if we get a chance, and I'd highly recommend staying here.

Fabulous stay

We stayed at Merricks cottage for the first week of Jan 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The cottage was beautifully presented and in a great location, walking distance to Merricks General Store and close to local wineries and restaurants. It was a great base for exploring the peninsular including Pt Leo Sculpture Park, Red Hill, Flinders and local beaches. The cottage contained everything we required including very comfy bedding, air-con, heating, open fire, wifi and some thoughtful local produce. Our host Lynda was very accommodating and responsive and we would definitely recommend Merricks cottage.

Best Weekend Ever

We had the privilege of staying at this beautiful property over our wedding weekend! We got to meet the lovely hosts on Friday night by chance and they are just beautiful down to earth people who genuinely wanted us to have a gorgeous time. Merricks Cottage was the perfect weekend away and I would recommend to anyone!

Beautiful spot

Well set up cottage in a beautiful location and proximate to general store and beaches. Very quiet spot and very nice garden. We cooked on two nights and kitchen is well set up. We’ll come back again.
