Outstanding

This is a beautiful property! Very spacious and impeccably maintained. All the linens and furnishings were wonderful. Great location being walking distance to everything you’d want (food /drinks/shopping/worship/coffee) We will definitely return. Owner was easy to reach and very responsive throughout our stay.

Great House & Gracious Host

This property is accurately pictured and represented on line. It is the perfect location for walking to all attractions and restaurants. Griselda could not have been a more gracious host. Her kindness, concern, and helpful information was greatly appreciated. We would not hesitate to return to this house or any of the other properties managed by her.

Perfect place

The property was centrally located..within walking distance from most areas. Merida is wonderful city, clean, safe and exciting. English Library is a block away with books, walking tours, lectures and many great folks to meet. The property owner, Griselda, could not have been more accomodating.

A very beautiful house in a great location to explore and enjoy the Centro district

The house is newly renovated and well equipped with a great kitchen, spacious bathrooms, and comfortable furnishings. It was magical to enter through the massive front door to discover the serene beauty and quiet of this old house and its garden. The roof top patio and hammock were wonderful to enjoy in the early morning or early evening, the pool provided a great cool down after walking around the Centro district. It was very relaxing to sit in the shaded and quiet garden and porch. There were so many good restaurants and bakeries within 2-3 blocks and there was always something interesting going on in Santa Lucia Park. Griselda was a great host, with good advice and she made our stay easy and worry-free.

beautiful property in the best section of downtown Merida: the Santa Lucia neighborhood.

Griselda was a wonderful hostess and really, I can't say enough about what a beautiful and well-equipped property the Casa Remanso is. There were three of us staying at Griselda's place: my cousin, her boyfriend and I, and the place is so spacious that we never felt crowded and we actually invited guests almost every day for lunch and/or dinner. When the weather got hot, from noon to four in the afternoon, the pool is a soothing and refreshing option. We are coming back again very soon!
