About this property

Luxury Log Home, Southern Georgian Bay - Explore Blue Mountain to Tobermory

Highland House sits beautifully above the shores of Georgian Bay on 7 private acres of forest and manicured grounds. The estate property’s 500 ft. driveway leads to exquisitely appointed gardens and hardscape that surround the 3500 sq. ft. custom built modern log home.

With five bedrooms, a living room with a gas fireplace, an inviting kitchen and dining area, a media room and spa, Highland House offers couples and families a superior year-round retreat to rejuvenate and explore.

The two-level deck and new 9 person, salt water Arctic Spa hot tub overlook the property’s fire pit and are complimented by a Canadian Western Cedar indoor sauna provide a spa-like atmosphere to unwind and reconnect.

A chef’s inspired outdoor kitchen and a professional gas fueled stone pizza oven along with produce and herbs from the vegetable garden will ensure memorable evenings spent with family and friends around the deck’s harvest table followed by board games and movie nights on the 82 inch TV screen in the lower level’s media room.

Highland House provides easy access to all of southern Georgian Bay’s amenities and attractions. Hiking on the Bruce Trail, golfing, mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing along with ski and snowmobile trails are at your doorstep and are surrounded by Grey County’s 8 picturesque waterfalls.

Pack a picnic and visit the area’s secluded or more popular beaches or take a drive into Collingwood or up the Bruce Peninsula to Tobermory. With a boat launch 5 minutes away, explore Georgian Bay by water or paddle on local rivers through the countryside. Wineries, cideries, breweries, arts, culture, music and culinary events, festivals and fall fairs can all be found throughout the area’s historic towns and villages. Fine dining and take away restaurants along with local shopping are all nearby.

For a long weekend, a week or monthly rental, Highland House offers a memorable experience that will heighten all of your senses.

Highland House is cleaned to the highest quality standards and the hot tub and sauna are professionally treated between guests. Gardening and home maintenance take place weekly.

Linens have been purchased through William Sonoma and Pottery Barn and furniture and beds are new.

From the moment we drove onto the property we felt welcomed! This is a beautiful home, on a peaceful property, that is well cared for, very clean and comfortable. Well equipped with everything needed to ensure a restful stay. We all found a favourite spot…even our dog. We look forward to staying again. E. Hughes

Incredible stay! Cozy & beautiful! Would 100% return!
Only wonderful things to say about this home! From the stunning property, to the incredibly comfortable beds & bedding, to the outdoor space for grilling kings. All the little extras too were so helpful!... Welcome package, great quality showering supplies, games, kitchen amenities. The home was so roomy and cozy! Everything was as the ad showed, if not better actually! We went in the Fall so it was absolutely beautiful just to sit on the pitch and watch the kids play in the yard. Hot tub and sauna were a nice bonus for moms and dads! It was only a 10min drive in town for all shopping needs. The host was great at communication and making us feel welcome! So happy we stayed and would definitely come back! Winter would be magical!

Exceeded expectations!
This was the best equipped property we have ever rented. We felt like we were at our own private resort! The host was very responsive to all inquiries. We were sad to say goodbye to Highland House.

Highland House was purchased as a gathering place for generations of family and their friends to connect and to retreat from city living, even for a short time, in order to share experiences that are rooted in nature. Inspired by surroundings reminiscent of the Scottish highlands, Highland House is a touchstone to the owners’ ancestral connections to land and sea.
