About this property

Welcome to our Sanctuary in the trees! Situated on 4 acres, our home is totally private, yet only a 3 minute drive to Ganges town centre. Peaceful and tranquil, come here to relax after a full day of exploring.

Cosy up by the fire with a good book and a cup of tea. Or get lost in the sweeping 180-degree views of Active Pass, stretching all the way from Whistler to Mount Baker. Drift off to sleep in your own little nest among the Cedar & Arbutus.

The Space
Perched high atop Ganges Harbour, nestled among the trees, you will find our special sanctuary. After a quiet & peaceful night's sleep, awake refreshed in the serenity of the forest surrounded by natural light and fresh air.

Guest access

This self-contained 2-level guesthouse features an open concept living room/dining room, gas fireplace, kitchen, and an expansive private deck.

On the lower level you will find an additional bedroom, full bathroom, and secondary private deck. Both levels have their own private entrance.

Yoga
Just two houses away you will find The Nest Yoga Studio. Practice with the warmth of a wood-burning stove and an amazing view! Book a private Hot Yoga class for 2, or for larger groups Sarah Jane can lead a yoga class on the deck here, weather depending. Inquire about availability.

Peaceful Oasis indeed!

My friend and I had an amazing stay at this villa/retreat. The home was very inviting that we wished we had stayed longer. If you love nature and enjoy beautiful views, I highly recommend staying here.

Reflect and Relax

Wonderful experience! Privacy, yet access to the host if necessary. The mid-century mod aesthetic was lovely. My only complaint is that I missed the snow by a few weeks. Thank you again and hope to see you soon!

Peaceful Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would gladly return! The house is pristine and beautifully designed to enjoy views of the water from every corner. There is a shared hallway to the owners house within the entrance, but we didn’t see anyone at all throughout our stay.

Shelter from the Storm

A beautiful house set in a dense forest of fir and cedars looking out onto an expansive view of Ganges Harbour and the Gulf Islands in the distance. The gas stove took filled this already warm feeling woody living room with welcome and quickly made the cool and damp outside vanish. The kitchen lacked for nothing and made for a nice home away from home feel. A hot soak in the Jacuzzi tub was relaxing before a restful sleep in the large comfortable bed. We had a very agreeable stay and won't hesitate in returning.

After working for over 15 years in the big city, my partner and I were ready for a life change. Here we are now in beautiful Salt Spring Island. We love meeting people from all over the world and sharing our little slice of heaven with our guests. We wish for our guests to have the most relaxing stay in our home, and if there is anything we can do to make your stay with us more comfortable please get in touch. We live on the property, just next door to the guesthouse.
We have our own private entrance which is completely closed off from the guesthouse by the use of privacy screens, trees, bamboo, etc
