Stunning location and a great place to celebrate Christmas
The cabin was very comfortable and well equipped. The view from the large window/door was incredible. The only downside was inconsiderate neighbours who returned to the cabin long after midnight, every night, and made a lot of noise before settling down.

Very nice and comfortable accomodation, a bit smelly though
Very good facilities and a very nice welcome with some cakes and drinks. The lodge was a bit smelly though, probably because of previous visited dogs. The location on the Isle of Sleat is beautiful but also a bit out of the way if you want to see more of the Isle of Sky.

Jake

Amazing location and service
Very attentive staff who went over and above expectations. Attention to detail was superb and the little touches, such as milk in the fridge and snacks were welcomed. Email part-way through the stay to ensure everything was as it should be was a nice surprise. Particular mention for Elizabeth for the friendly and helpful emails. Highly recommended. Only thing I would improve on was that there was a coffee pod machine but no pods. Instant coffee was, however, provided. Thank you.

The Armadale estate was once part of the traditional lands of Clan Donald and the family seat of the Macdonalds of Sleat. At its heart is Armadale Castle, now a romantic ruin, which sits in a dramatic position overlooking the Sound of Sleat. The Castle is surrounded by 40 acres of magnificent gardens, with exotic planting, magnificent trees and charming walks. Also on the estate is the award-winning Museum of the Isles, which tells the story of the Highlands and ; Islands and Clan Donald.
The estate is now run by a charitable trust dedicated to promoting the history and traditions of the clan and the Highlands and Islands. Accommodation guests have unlimited free entry to the Castle, Gardens and Museum during normal opening hours throughout the season of April - October.
