About this property

The Manna House - A spacious, historic retreat in the town of Halls Gap

The Manna House is situated on a 5 acre block, minutes walk from the town centre. The house has been offered as holiday accommodation for over 100 years. It has been modernised with split system heating & cooling with free WiFi access, but retains its period charm.

LOCATION: A spacious and private property on the main road, minutes walk from the swimming pool, tavern, park, information centre and local shops, including micro brewery, renowned bakery and ice creamery, fish and chips, gourmet pizza, cafes, restaurants, IGA, chemist and petrol station.

MANNA HOUSE BEDROOM: Sleeps up to 4 people.
The house has ONE large L-shaped bedroom with a queen bed at one end of the L and 2 single beds at the other end.

LIVING SPACE: The spacious living area has an open fireplace, panel heating and split system heating/cooling.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven/stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, slow cooker, toaster, sandwich press and dining area. There is a high chair available and an old-fashioned wood-fire oven.

LAUNDRY: There is a separate laundry with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron.

PROPERTY: The spacious rear yard backs onto the mountains with spectacular views and a firepit area. There is a small seasonal creek running through the property at the very rear of the yard. The property extends a long way up the mountain and much of the 5 acres is untouched land. Kangaroos and native birds are daily visitors with regular visits from emus, deer and ducks and an occasional cameo from the beautiful resident echidna.

Soooo impressed
Restful with wildlife on doorstep, for a group of people that can readily develop allergies there were none ! Spacious, quiet and so comfy ! Have already booked another visit. Age group range was 13 to 73 and we all loved it.

Perfectly located, comfortable base in the Grampians
We stayed in the property for four nights and loved the location (about 50m from the centre of Halls Gap) and the comfort of the property. Fire pit in the back garden was perfect for evening family gathering in company of kangaroos and the wildlife. Property was well-equipped with all the usual tea and coffee but also little extras like marshmallows for toasting at the fire pit. Host Jennifer was totally helpful and attentive. We'd love to return on our next Grampians visit!

Cosy and quiet, clean and tidy. The property had everything you could could want from books and DVD's, toys and games for the kids and a fully featured kitchen with all the essentials to cook up a meal. We had an excellent stay, will stay again in the future.

Paradise in Town Centre
We loved the old holiday house with its rustic charm, surrounded by nature and wildlife but still in close proximity to the shops. We started the days having coffee outside with the birds, watching the rising sun light up the distant rock faces and we drank Margherita’s watching the sun set with our menagerie of wildlife. Absolute bliss if you can get past the quirks of a well maintained and well supplied, clean , old, rustic property with oodles of living space and charm. Will definitely book again. I miss it already.
