Update for the 2024 Season: Brand new private heated pool - photos coming soon! Sound Garden is located on a tree-lined cul de sac and is close to the multi-use path that runs alongside the sound where you can enjoy walking, biking, or running. Spend a fun day at the beach swimming, surfing, searching for shells and sea glass, or just listening to the waves. When you come home, the outdoor fun can continue with your very own private pool. End your day watching amazing sunsets over Kitty Hawk Bay. Sound Garden has plenty of space for everyone to enjoy time together, whether you are watching movies, preparing meals, or simply relaxing. There are many attractions, outdoor activities, great local restaurants and shops to experience so make sure you find time to enjoy all the treasures the OBX has to offer. No pets allowed. No smoking/vaping.

Had a good stay

We stayed in Sept 2022 with a family of 6. House is tucked away in a cul-de-sac with a short walk to a trail along the sound. The beach was in the opposite direction of the sound and took about 7 min to get there. We had a comfortable stay and particularly appreciated the outdoor shower — a must-have item when visiting the beach. The only “nit” was that we wished they kept a broom and a dustpan on site.

Delightful

This home is in a quiet neighborhood, half a block from the sound and near the trailhead to a wonderful multi-use trail. It was very comfortable with plenty of space to spread out. The great room on the top level made it easy for our family to share stories and laughs and had lots of seating. The kitchen was very well stocked. The upper deck furniture was new and made for a very comfortable place to view the sound and star gaze. The only reason I did not give the property 5 stars is that the charcoal grill was a little nasty and had not been cleaned and there were also a lot of dead mosquitoes in the slider door track on the inside. The top deck light worked fine but we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the light for the middle deck and stairs to the driveway. All in all this was a great property and I would definitely stay here again.

Great house!

This house was great. 3 floors (first floor is just a door and laundry closet, second floor is 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a small living room and a porch. Third floor is kitchen, living room, master bedroom, a bathroom and a porch.) Fully equipped kitchen. Vacuum, broom, outdoor shower. Coffee pot. Crock pot. We had a lot of fun and wished we could have stayed longer!
