It’s located in the 9th Street Historic District and less than a block from Lion’s Park, Golden Community Center, Clear Creek trails, Kayaking, Library, and Farmer’s Market. It is also only a few blocks walk along the beautiful Clear Creek path to downtown, the historic heart of Golden!

Our lovingly maintained carriage house apartment features:

-Two bedrooms. Enjoy a great night sleep in either bedroom. One bedroom has a comfortable king size bedroom and the other bedroom has fantastic queen bedroom set. This unit will comfortably fit four adults. One additional person can stay on the couch.

-One large custom four piece bathroom that includes travertine tile, walk-in European shower, double vanity and be sure to relax in the jetted tub!

-A custom kitchen that has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. If you prefer to eat in, it has a gas range, microwave/convection oven, plenty of prep space, and is stocked with the basics. We also have an outdoor gas grill for your use. Safeway, our local grocery store, is only one mile away.

-A large deck with a great view of Lookout Mountain and South Table Mountain. The comfortable patio furniture is a great spot to kick up your feet, entertain, or just read a book and enjoy the ambiance of the surrounding area.

-There is a stackable washer and dryer in the apartment for your use.

-Two flat-screen TVs (one in the living room and one in the master) with basic cable and wireless internet.

-Policies: We have a strict non-smoking policy. We own and love our own pets but unfortunately yours needs to stay home. We also have room for one car to park under the deck/carport and other cars will need to park in nearby street parking.

As both local “Golden-ites” and natives, we can confidently say that Golden is truly a great place to visit and live and has something for everyone. We’re always happy to give you advice on your stay but here are just a few ideas to get you started planning your vacation…

-We’re pretty lucky to have amazing outdoors that surround us here in Golden. From the pedestrian/bike/kayak-friendly Clear Creek to hiking/climbing the mesas and mountains, you won’t be bored. The City of Golden just opened a Bike Library that is only two blocks from our apartment and allows you to check out bikes free of charge (up to two hours) to tour our City. There are numerous bike trails within a short distance including Tucker Gulch Trail, Chimney Gulch Trail, Clear Creek Trail, North & South Table Mesas, and the list goes on! Only a short distance away, there is also Fossil Trace Golf Course in addition to kayaking, hiking trails, white water rafting, horseback riding, snow shoeing/sledding, and Golden Gate State Park.

-If you’re a foodie and/or enjoy a good beer or spirit, downtown Golden is only a few blocks from our apartment, offers numerous one-of-a-kind shopping, galleries, fine dining restaurants, breweries, distilleries, cafes, and taverns - making it one of the most fun and interesting towns on the Front Range. Coors Brewery offers free tours and there are multiple award-winning craft microbreweries (Mountain Toad Brewery, Golden City Brewery, and Cannonball Brewery) within walking distance.

-Golden is also a family-friendly town with plenty of low-cost and/or free things to do with your kids (or any age for that matter). Nearly every weekend, there is some sort of festival, holiday or event to look forward to in our friendly town. In addition to the plethora of nearby hiking and biking, we have water-activities including tubing Clear Creek (in summer/fall and only ½ block away from our apartment) to swimming at our indoor Community Center pool (only up the hill from us) that includes a kid’s pool/water slide, a lap pool and fitness center. For an educational experience you can tour our History Museums, discover dinosaurs, or plan visits to the National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC), the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and the Colorado School of Mines.

- If you’re a history buff, our place is located in the heart of the 9th Street Historic District and only a few blocks away from the 12th Street Historic District. It’s also a short walking distance to historic downtown Golden. Golden was once the capital of the federally recognized Colorado Territory in 1862 and possesses some of Colorado’s oldest buildings. In 1870, the Colorado School of Mines was established and is still a thriving nationally and internationally-recognized university. Other nearby historical and cultural sites includes the Buffalo Bill Museum, Foothills Art Center, Boettcher Mansion, Calvary Church, and the renowned Colorado Railroad Museum.

- Our apartment is also conveniently located only 9 miles away from the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre and only four blocks from the Colorado School of Mines.

-Also, we are happy to work with you on a short term/monthly rate if you would like to stay more than 30 days.

We look forward to your stay!

Comfortable and conveniently located!
We really enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of space for the three of us and it was quite comfortable. I think my favorite "room" was the deck and I especially loved the fireplace table! This was a convenient location as we traveled to Colorado Springs one day and Idaho Springs. Golden is a neat little town. If you stay here, you have to walk along Clear Creek!

The perfect place in every way!
This place exceeded expectations! It was very clean. Had lots of room for my family of 4, a full kitchen and a large bathroom. The rainfall shower head was fantastic after a long day hiking in the mountains. The beds were comfy. Heather was quick to respond to communications. I really have nothing bad to say. We will book this location every time we go to Red Rocks! Thanks again, Heather!

We both grew up in Golden, left for 15 years, and then came back as quick as possible to raise our family in our quaint and friendly town. We love the outdoors and you can frequently see us biking around town, hiking the local trails, and enjoying all that downtown Golden has to offer.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because it is centrally located and in walkable distance of so many fantastic amenities. We also enjoy the historic charm of being in the 9th Street Historic District. Growing up in Golden, my grandmother actually owned the house next door so I spent much of my childhood in this neighborhood.

What makes this property unique
