I loved my stay so much I bought the casa - it's genuinely close to the sea!

Casa do Monte is a Fisherman’s Cottage, only a few feet away from the sea. Perfect if you want to roll out of bed and go for an early morning swim!

Casa do Monte is a traditional Portuguese townhouse, very well situated in Luz right in front of the sea.

It was previously let out by the previous owners, I was fortunate enough to be offered the chance to buy it. My family and I have decided that it's too nice to keep to ourselves and have decided to let it, so you can enjoy it.

The large balcony off the main bedroom allows you to watch the fishing boats as you eat your breakfast.
The other bedroom has 2 single beds, one of which is a mezzanine bed. This bedroom has air-conditioning.

The house also has a ground floor garden, with BBQ, another outdoor table and chairs, tucked away from the general public with some views of the sea. Its not large but perfectly big enough for a family of four.

The house has an open-plan lounge and kitchen with patio doors out onto the ground floor garden. There is seating for four inside. The kitchen is well equipped with a regular sized fridge and freezer, microwave, ceramic hob, electric oven, washing machine, kettle, etc…The bathroom has a shower, but no bath. The house was built in the 1960's and gives a feel of the original village, it is not a modern apartment.................

The cottage Wifi is fibre - speeds are 200mbps download/100mbps upload, the router is also new with support for both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz so modern devices with a HD TV box with 200 channels with many international channels English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Indian, Brazilian, Russian, Chinese, Romanian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Dutch, ...

Only a few steps away from Prainha beach, sometimes described as Praia da Luz’s ‘secret’ beach. Praia da Luz has one long beautiful beach about 5 minutes’ walk along the front from the cottage. However, west of the fort are a series of what are called secret beaches – tidal beaches. One Is literally directly in front of the cottage and there is another half dozen within a 100m - along the rocky coast – ideal for crabbing and great exercise walking along. If you had further west across the rocks there are some great spot and coves to sit and watch the world go by in.

Restaurants, banks, pubs, shops, supermarkets and the village’s historic church are all nearby.

Perfect location in a beautiful beach town

Loved the ease of staying at Paul’s. There was everything you needed. Just so amazing to stay so close to the ocean. We would stay again.

Lovely

Lovely stay at Casa do Monte. Great location and view of the sea from 2 great outdoor areas. Quick access to the beach, short walk to town beach and all restaurants and grocery stores. Also - great hike atop the the cliffs east end of Luz to Lagos. Lagos is lovely and great fun too.

This casa is awesome!

The location is fantastic with a view to the ocean. Parking easy to find close to house. Grocery store, restaurants, bars all around. Nevertheless, the house is also quiet, so you can relax. Days trip to the entire Algarve are possible from here. We liked the house that thoughtfully separates the house in case you stay with kids. We were just 2. Would always come back. Communication with Paul was fantastic and fast. Always helpful. Thanks so much Paul!

the location is perfect - from the balcony you can see and hear the ocean. Close to everything

we were very pleased with the property, very clean had all that we needed in the kitchen. The grocery stores are close enough to walk to along with everything else in the town. the property is about 5 minute walk to the main area of restaurants and bars but far enough away that you only hear the ocean. There is also a little beach area about 2 minutes from the property also. The next town, Lagos, which is bigger, has lots of shopping and restaurants and water tours, is only about 15 minute drive and you can take the bus there too, the bus stop is about 5 minutes from the unit #4 bus. We have stayed here before and would recommend it as a great location to stay. Canada

I bought the cottage because of its great location and the fact its not a traditional holiday apartment. It allows me to feel closer to the real Portugal rather than a tourist. One of me neighbours is local Portuguese family who grew up in the area. If you want a smart, modern, large apartment this property is not for you
