Inishcoo House is a beautifully restored 18th century coastguard house standing on an uninhabited island just 5 minutes boat ride from the mainland. The island features several glorious sand beaches, a shipwreck, an inland lake and unlimited walking, fishing, boating and swimming possibilities.
The house is an eco-house, warm and comfortable all year round. It has 6 double bedrooms, one single room and a children’s dormitory that can sleep 6 children. There are 3 bathrooms + 1 WC. The very large family room/kitchen opens on to a south-facing terrace. Across the hall is a comfortable library stocked with books and family games. There is also a large playroom which adapts as a downstairs bedroom. The house and surrounding land are completely enclosed and safe. Beyond that is another 6 acres of private grounds enclosed on three sides by fine old stone walls, with an old stone hut from which our guests can observed the bay in complete peace. The beautiful private beaches are a 10-minute walk away, through a unique landscape full of wild flowers and boulders.
