About this property

A Charming 1940 traditional home in the heart of Port Angeles.

Situated in the heart of Port Angeles, between the rugged Olympics and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, it’s the perfect base for your visits to hiking, fishing, beach combing, biking, the Victoria ferry, shopping and dining.

This charming, traditional 1940’s home is beautifully designed with your comfort in mind. The main floor features two peaceful bedrooms with queen beds, as well as a full bathroom with tub/shower combo. The upstairs offers an additional spacious bedroom with a full size bed and half bathroom. This private home is yours to enjoy, including seasonal fruit from the orchard, off street parking and a garage where you may secure your recreational equipment. Because of recent city zoning changes Albert house must rent for a 30 night minimum which gives you maximum flexibility in your vacation arrival/departure dates, and if you cannot stay the full 30 days you will enjoy a terrific vacation on the Olympic Peninsula at a very reasonable cost.

During this time of virus awareness, our enhanced cleaning procedures begin with air cleaning by a hydroxyl-ozone generator which cleans the air for 4-6 hours prior to our in-depth cleaning of soft and hard surfaces. After airing out the ozone, we launder linens with bleach added to standard laundry soap. A cleaning tray is available for our guests use if they desire to clean during their stay

Convenient home feel
Location is walkable to marina and discovery trail. Charging station at city hall. Main surfaces were clean, however overall it could use a deep clean (cabinet doors, floors, walls, remote, dishes). Owners are friendly and available. We are happy overall and this was our second stay here. We would stay again.

About the host

We've lived in Port Angeles since 1972.

Why they chose this property

We moved here to attend Peninsula College and stayed because we loved the beauty of the area as well as the logging and fishing culture. In our 41 years here, we have raised our children, owned a business and invested in the community. This town is our home and we look forward to sharing it with you.

What makes this property unique

We love this house. We're the 3rd owners and knew the woman who commissioned its building. It really is a darling home that has retained all of the original 1940 charm. The arched entry and hallways, cedar lined closets and original fireplace make it feel like it's a familiar part of our history. We've worked to maintain and restore it's character, from original wood trim, doors and floors, to the the architectural hardware. We really like the resulting blend of old character with current comforts.
