About this property

Little Cabin at Wren Vineyard

Come and discover a hidden gem in Wren!

A charming private retreat, The Little Cabin, is the perfect 1930’s vacation getaway. This cozy cabin sits atop our 15 acre Wren Vineyard and offers an awesome view of Marys Peak, the tallest mountain in the Oregon Coast Range and the Marys River which winds its way along the bottom of the property. On weekends you are welcome to join us for complimentary wine tasting in the big ol' barn up the road from the cabin (details below). If you are a Lumos Wine Club member please contact us directly about reserving the cabin.

This little vintage cabin is an original from our farm's dude-ranch days. It just doesn't get much more charming...

In the cabin you can gaze out over the quiet rolling hills, sip award winning wine from the organically farmed grapes below while you enjoy relaxing on a sun drenched deck. While we've kept the vintage feel of the cabin we have updated it a bit with a small artful kitchenette, indoor plumbing with stand-up shower. You can plug in with wi-fi and phone reception. Or you can unplug. The little cabin has no T.V. Instead, you can cozy up on the love seat next to the wood stove with your sweetie, watch a beautiful sunset from the deck and pick up a good book in the evening. This romantic setting is perfect for a honeymoon couple, anniversary, wonderful as an artist/writers retreat or just a weekend getaway. Located 11 miles west of Corvallis (and Reser Stadium for you Beaver fans). This is a working farm/vineyard so depending on the time of year you are here there may be farming activity.

The Little Cabin is your respite from a day of exploring the rolling meadows and woods, mountain biking, hiking up the local trails and a dip in the local swimming hole. Day tripping to the ocean is a favorite activity. Visit the city of Newport and Historic Nye Beach 45 minutes west of Wren. Or visit the working fishing harbor and dine by the docks at the award winning restaurant Local Ocean. Drop your bags and cares at the door of the Little Cabin and explore the nearby town of Corvallis. A wealth of opportunity awaits you downtown, with delicious dining choices, a plethora of entertainment, boutiques and the beautiful Oregon State University (OSU) campus to explore.

Check in is 3 pm and check out is noon. We are open for wine tasting every weekend from March - December, Thurs/Fri noon to 5 and Sat/Sun noon to 6. While the cabin is private to our guests there will be people activity up at the barn and on the grounds. As a guest, you are welcome to join us for complimentary tasting.

Cozily Rustic
Quiet, vintage simplicity! You gotta enjoy tending a wood stove fire in the cold months, but that’s part of the charm of this tiny cabin. Double back doors with windows frame a beautiful view of the vineyard and the mysterious, ambient, fog that rolls through the green hills beyond. At night the moon lights up the sky and casts spooky shadows on the landscape below. A friendly black cat prowls the grounds, occasionally joined by a smiling Corgi named Scout. There’s hiking and a river just a quick drive down the road, and if Lumos isn’t open, Cardwell’s tasting room probably is—so stop off and sip on the way back. Book this funky little place—it’s rad, even (maybe especially) in the cold, rainy months!

Thanksgiving at the Lil' canin
We were visiting friends in Philomath and their house was already full of out of towb family, so we stayed at the cabin and it was perfect. Amazing views and cozy cabin, the wood stove kept the cabin warm and we made breakfast and coffee ea h morning and spent the day with friends. We stopped by the tasting room to get some bottles of wine for Thanksgiving dinner and to bring home to Juneau.
