About this property

Seattle Urban Tree House

**The Urban Tree House is the perfect place for those who want/need to visit Seattle, or desire a place to "escape" as it's a stand alone building that provides perfect social distancing and is fully disinfected after each parties use.**

Hidden in the heart of Seattle, the Urban Tree House provides the convenience of the city and the escape to the forest of the Pacific Northwest. Ten minutes from downtown, yet nestled among towering maples and cedars. Enjoy the pairing of inner city with the tranquility of urban forest.

This urban Tree House is private and secluded, yet only 10 miles from downtown Seattle and minutes away from Lake Washington. Custom-designed to take advantage of its unique environment, the house sits in a ravine slightly below road level, surrounded on all sides by western red cedars and big leaf maples, providing ease of access with the privacy of a natural, leaf-shaded canopy. In this woodsy location, the Tree House’s contemporary design inside and outside emphasizes its location in a setting that is both rural and urban, the perfect blend for experiencing Seattle.

Simplicity is an art, and one that is needed when traveling. The Tree House does a good job of keeping the space clean, uncrowded and functional, yet architectural features such as high ceilings, large windows and exposed overhead beams supply a calming sense of space as well. Coupled with all the amenities needed for comfortable stay of a week or longer, this Seattle Tree House is the perfect home port for your return at night, or a quiet place to chill during the day.

Unique lodging
Delightfully designed and decorated. The site and building are beautiful and have some whimsical touches. Waking up and seeing nothing but trees out of every window brightened up otherwise cloudy/rainy weather every day. Owner lives nearby and was very gracious and helpful about Seattle. Good restaurants everywhere. Don't miss Spinasse and Bar Sur Mer.

Baseball getaway
Kirk and Kayce were very friendly, approachable and helpful. We loved the Treehouse. Birds and squirrels were our visitors, Kayce’s flowers are beautiful and she’s so willing to share her knowledge about them. We played hard all day at touring, attending the Baseball games for a 3 day LA Dodger series, and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub at day’s end. The link light rail is very close with free parking and we used it daily to travel to city. The Treehouse is exactly as shown, even better than our expectations!! Groceries are close too. Thank you to the owners💕

I've spent my life (50+ years), living and working right here in Seattle. Having taken advantage of what this area offers with a plethora of outdoor activities, moderate 4 seasons, and urban amenities, I'm constantly surprised that there is so much that I've yet done/discovered. I've put my heart and soul into this little piece of property (literally), custom designing it to take full advantage of the site. I hope it will become an important part of your Seattle experience, allowing you to enjoy the great Northwest the way the big guy upstairs intended it to be experience.

Why they chose this property

This property gives a very unique Northwest experience. Seattle is full of little gems tucked away, not many available to the traveler to live in. My property is located in a deep ravine listed as a Critical Environmental Area. Although the Tree House is close to the road, it's still buried amongst the towering trees, giving it the privacy a thick Northwest forest provides. Walk to the back of my property and you're overwhelmed by the acres of untouched nature and year-round creek; truly a calming environment. There are not many areas you can be in the “woods” and still be in the heart of the city, 10 minutes (on a good commute, 20 on a bad) from downtown.
