Great home in quiet neighborhood
We stayed for 2 months during the remodel of our house. This place is very cozy, and the office made it really easy to work remotely. Perfect for a long term stay because they have literally anything you could possibly need for cooking and day to day activities. The neighborhood is very quiet and family friendly, and there are a lot of foods carts and restaurants within walking distance. Owners are very nice and super responsive. Yard was nice and secure, and the covered patio was great for waiting outside with the dogs on rainy days. Would definitely recommend this place especially for anyone doing a longer stay.

Comfortable space, great location and great hosts!
We have been staying here while waiting for our home to be repaired. We have found it to be a comfortable space with everything we need. Wendy has been an excellent and friendly host. The side yard is beautiful and a great space to play with our dogs or enjoy a meal outside during warmer weather. The location is within walking distance to all the restaurants, grocery stores, and businesses on Woodstock.

We have had an excellent experience staying in this home. We have extended out our stay because we've been so comfortable here. The location is convenient and our dogs have enjoyed having access to the cozy side yard. Wendy has been prompt and easy to communicate with. We would recommend staying here to anyone looking.

Cozy and comfortable
We stayed in this cozy home for 2.5 months while we were waiting for our house to sell/pending move out of state. We loved the backyard and the house’s proximity to Woodstock Park and the Woodstock “town center”, where we could get groceries, dine out, and/or visit the library all within a 5-10 minute walk. There were lots of books, games and other activities to keep us busy. Wendy, the host, was responsive and helpful.

About the host

Sue is a retired educational consultant from the CA Department of Education, a former bed & breakfast innkeeper of an eight-room inn in Sacramento, an award-winning quilter, a world traveler, and a grandmother to five children. You will enjoy some of her quilts and international art in the home.

Wendy is a former school counselor, a self-employed business owner, a mother to an active eleven-year old, and wife of a middle school teacher. She is active in the Woodstock community and involved in her daughter’s school.

Why they chose this property

Wendy has lived in Woodstock for 18 years. Having moved here from San Francisco, she was drawn to the town-within-a-city feel of the neighborhood. Most everything one could possibly need is within walking distance, and most of the shopping gets done on foot. Woodstock is also a fabulous place for families, and the recreational opportunities within just a few miles are truly amazing.

We bought this house with my parents so they could visit for long stretches. When they're not here, we want to share the house with others eager to visit this great piece of Portland. We're very flexible hosts, and will give you as much or as little direction as you desire. Already familiar with the area and just need a comfortable place to work or relax for a bit? We'll hand you the keys and leave you to it. Never been to Portland and need ideas for food and fun? The house is stocked with guidebooks and maps and we'll bend your ear as long as you'd like to listen (we have lots of opinions!).

What makes this property unique

The private fenced yard is an urban oasis. And with such easy access to shops and restaurants, the huge local park and a nature preserve, we can go weeks without driving anywhere!
