Eco Friendly, Custom Log Lodge Overlooking Yellowstone - "Funky, Creative, and Comfortable"

If you have a smaller group, please let me know and I can discount the rate. If the rate is above your budget, please ask for a reduced rate. I want everyone to be able to enjoy Yellowstone.

We can help plan your vacation!

Come experience the magic of Yellowstone National Park. Our custom log lodge, located just 5 miles from the north entrance of Yellowstone, is just the place to hang your hat after a long day of Yellowstone adventuring. This 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 3000 sq. ft custom cabin/timber frame home luxuriously sleeps 8-10. Reclaimed lumber, true plaster, slate, hardwood flooring, large windows, and unique western touches ornate this vacation rental. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a gourmet meal on the expansive deck while soaking in the immense views of Yellowstone, specifically the steam from Mammoth Hot Springs. Let the sounds of Bear Creek soothe your soul.

Upon entering the lodge, our goal is for you to take a deep breath and let your stresses be free. It is time to truly relax in big sky country and leave technology and troubles behind.

The Sunny Slope Lodge is located in an ideal location for Yellowstone touring, sightseeing and wildlife watching. Natural hot springs, horseback riding, fly fishing, wolf watching, rafting, hiking, even museums and gourmet dining are less than 30 minutes away. During the winter months, you can snowshoe or cross country ski from the cabin, take a snow coach or snowmobile tour into Yellowstone or head out on a truly unique dog sledding adventure.

Let us be your home away from home and make memories lasting a lifetime.

Rustically unique
We were unaware of the number of steps. We had some elderly guests and the steps were difficult

Yellowstone Family Vacation
This cabin is perfect for a family vacation. We had 7 people including a 2 year old. Lots of room and an extremely well equipped kitchen that really helped reduce eating out costs. The location was great for easy access to Yellowstone Park, Yellowstone Hot Springs, horseback riding in Jardine and groceries in Gardiner. Very helpful host with local activities information. The entire family loved this cabin and vacation experience.

Large hillside lodge tucked into the mountain
We maximized our Yellowstone adventuring time so were only here to sleep a few hours but appreciated the space for 6 adults to spread out comfortably for the night!

About the host

I own and manage all of my vacation rentals to provide the special attention that each guest deserves. I was a backcountry ranger in Yellowstone for many years and am happy to help you arrange activities in and outside of the park. My goal is for each guest to have a Yellowstone adventure that they will never forget. It is time to release stress and truly relax!

Why they chose this property

We built this home from recycled materials found in Montana. The original building was an old homestead built in the 1800's that a farmer was going to burn down. Instead, we tore down the logs and re-stacked it in Jardine. Other materials include an old fence torn down by a neighbor. The walls are plaster with slate in the bathrooms and kitchen. This used to be our home and we loved the unique touches. Please come and see for yourself the beauty in recycling.

What makes this property unique

The Sunny Slope Lodge is only 5 miles to the north gate of Yellowstone and the town of Gardiner. The park, restaurants, shops, activities are all at your fingertips yet you may never want to leave the house. You truly feel out of the hustle and bustle of town and Yellowstone yet you are only a stone's throw away from everything.
