Cape May Getaway
Constructive feedback. Should be disclosed owner and family stay on property which would have influenced decision to stay. Owner showed up drunk night we checked in, in her own words “I’m hammered”. We ended up being the host to her 4 witnesses who were all very uncomfortable with this and things she said while sitting with us. 3 of 4 a/c units need replacing 1 in master appears to have mold (photos to document) within vents and hard time cooling room very old u it 1 turns on with no other controls working including temp very old unit 1 seems to be on last leg 1 in family area directly on anyone sitting on couches which impacts use of room. Great layout although third room up top with just a bed more of an attic space. Refrigerator seems on last leg. Owner sent message prior to check in asking for help cleaning even though all fees paid seems unreasonable given cleaning fees paid. . The unit itself is fantastic. Neighbors very nice as well. Would recommend with minor changes.

Cozy Beach House
The Flybridge was the perfect place to stay in Cape May. It’s a 13 minute walk to the Washington Street shopping district, and a quick bike ride or drive to the beach. Gina was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We had a great time!

About the host

I’m Gina and my husband is Andy, we both grew up coming to the Jersey Shore and visiting Cape May. We met in college and fell in love on an off shore fishing trip! Fishing was always Andy’s passion and I never left the beach, but one day despite a treacherous journey miles off shore the ocean quieted and I fell in love, with him, and a view of the ocean I had never experienced. We own a boat and dock it at the gorgeous Cape May Marina and in January of 2022, after years of searching, we finally bought our little sliver of the island on Washington Street. If you can’t find us surfing at the COVE, or eating at The C-VIEW, we’ve gone fishing!

Why they chose this property

Cape May is the oldest shore town in the US. A fishing town that managed to marry its fresh catch with some outstanding chefs, including the only Michelin Star Chef in New Jersey. Gorgeous beaches line the coast and history abounds! Washington Street in particular is quintessential Cape May! The street is lined with colorful Victorian homes including this property which is a contributing historic structure built in the 1800’s. Washington Street is a great street to people watch, where you feel like you are part of the action without having to leave the property!

What makes this property unique

Historic Victorian in the heart of Downtown Cape May.
