What we think you will love about this cabin:

Its super private- You cant even see the road from the house and the driveway winds through the forest back to the house. No other houses or neighbors in sight.
Woods and Trails to explore This home sits on 70 acres of hard wood forest with a small river running through the middle of it. There are miles of private trails to explore, beaver dams and nature are all around. Its not uncommon to see deer or turkey or even the occasional bear in the yard.

Gazing at the stars Due to the seclusion of this house the stars shine bright at night its an amazing view with no light pollution as the nearest home is about a mile away.
Outdoor Hot tub -Relax after a day of exploring in the outdoor hot tub looking at the fire pit or the pond from the tub.

Spring fed sandy bottom swimming pond with a beach This must be my kids favorite attraction at this cabin. They spend hours swimming, kayaking, jumping around on the lily pad, building sandcastles, and chasing frogs. Did we mention fishing? The pond has bluegill and bass in it too (Catch and release please). There is a nice sandy beach area and plenty of outdoor chairs where you can sit and watch the fun. In addition to the two kayaks and the Lilly pad float, we also have a paddle boat for guests to use and a little dock in the pond.

The screen porch Across the front of the cabin is a screen porch with an extra fridge. This is one of my favorite places to sit in the evening and listen to the night sounds. We often hear coyotes off in the distance as well as frogs and owls. Its positively magical at night. The porch also has a picnic table and plenty of comfortable seating for all your guests to enjoy.
Large outdoor fire pit with Adirondack chairs What cabin adventure would be complete without a night around the fire pit making smors and telling stories?

Real Wood Fireplace - Winters at the cabin are great as well. There's nothing quite as comforting and cozy as sitting by a crackling wood fireplace on a wintry day, feeling the warmth embrace you while the mesmerizing flames dance and cast a gentle glow around the room. You havent lived until youve sat in the outdoor hot tub with snowflakes flying around you.

ATV Trails You can access the ATV Trails right from our cabin without trailering. The local township roads are well marked and open to ATV traffic. Take your ATV to lunch at one of the local bar and grills or hit Juneau County off road trails which run less then a half mile from the cabin.

What We Think You Will Love About The Area:

Wisconsin Dells The water park capital of the world is just 25 minutes south. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the cabin at night and the hustle and bustle of the Wisconsin Dells during the day.

Castle Rock Lake Hidden Forest Retreat is just a couple of miles from Castle Rock Lake. Castle Rock is known for its excellent fishing and boating it also has several bars and restaurants you can boat or drive to for a water front dining experience. Rent a pontoon for the day and explore or hit the Buckhorn Bridge boat launch with your own boat (3 miles from the cabin). We have room in or driveway for your truck and trailer.

Buckhorn State Park - Buckhorn State Park is a paradise for water enthusiasts, hunters, hikers, and nature lovers and only 4 miles from the cabin. The park and two adjacent state wildlife areas cover more than 8,000 acres on a peninsula in the Castle Rock Flowage of the Wisconsin River. Take the kids to the state park office for one of their weekend nature activities.

Necedah Wildlife Refuge About 10 miles north of the cabin is the 43,696-acre Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. The Refuge has a really nice welcome/education center and has a lot of ranger led tours and hands on activities or you can explore the center on your own. There are miles of well-marked trails and board walks across the marsh at the refuge.

Golf Courses -there are several great courses in the area including Sand Valley Championship course and Northern Bay which features replica holes of some of the most famous courses in the word. Dont forget to check out the local favorite -Castle Rock Course.

Bike Trails The roads around the cabin are paved and very low traffic which makes for excellent bking right out front but if you want to hit an amazing bike trails check out Elroy Bike Trail - With three rock tunnels and five small towns along its 32.5-mile route its worth a visit. The trail can be accessed via the Omaha bike trail in Camp Douglas (15 mins away)

Winery Tours -For wine enthusiasts, the area surrounding the cabin is a true delight, with the nearby Burr Oak Winery growing their own grapes on-site and offering a charming tasting room. As you head south towards Wisconsin Dells, you'll also find several other wineries to explore, making it an ideal destination for a delightful day of wine tasting.

Great Place to Get Away From it All!
Hidden Forest Retreat did not disappoint! We hiked the well-maintained trails, had cozy campfires, and took peaceful hot tub soaks under the stars (and snowflakes!). The kitchen was well-stocked so we were able to make yummy meals and steaks on the grill. Beds were comfy, TVs easy to figure out - we had all of the comforts of home, and then some. While in New Lisbon, we checked out The Dirty Turtle, Tuesdays, and Burr Oak Winery. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The property manager was super responsive - we were very happy with our stay. Thank you! Jeremy and Susie

Nice retreat
Nice and quiet retreat for the two of us. Things were a little gloomy looking when we arrived, but the snow storm that started during our stay helped to make the property beautiful for walks in the woods. Having a wood fireplace also helps to create a peaceful atmosphere.
