Great Cape Cod vacation spot
Location has a very secluded feel, but provides easy access to beaches, restaurants, etc.
Back yard–Lush grass, perfect for yard games like wiffle ball, KanJam and frisbee. With the full-size soccer goal, could play a small-sided game–we opted for only shootouts. Well maintained bocce court, perfect in the afternoon shade. Enjoyed the fire pit at night–great for toasting marshmallows.
Half-Court Basketball–Enjoyed many 3 on 3’s and physical games of horse+21. High quality court.
Carriage House–Major highlight–played a ton of ping-pong and pool. The pinball machine is of the quality you’d find in an arcade. Giant TV, large seating area and bed. It provided great quiet space and allowed for early morning (Women’s World Cup final) and late-night viewing without disturbing others.
Hot Tub and outdoor table/umbrella–Fit six adults in the tub; made for a nice winddown before dinner. Outdoor table seats 8+.
Other recommendations–A drive to Provincetown; Skipper’s clam chowder; great Rails to Trails bike path – easy rental at Barb’s Bike Shop. Got on the trail right there, rode about 10 miles to the start of Nickerson State Park. Quick turnaround to stop for a lunch break at Cobie’s Clam Shack (clam strips and fries!)–then 9.5 miles back.
Owner/manager–Mark provided a wealth of info before our trip and was VERY responsive to any questions we had. Great customer service!
In summary, even if our feet had never hit the sand, the property alone provided a fun and active vacation!
