"The location of the Sheraton was terrific except for the fact that a marathon was being run on the access road to the hotel on the day we had to leave for Valparaiso and did not know this ahead of time. We had to allow extra time as all the traffic was rerouted away from the main throughfare, had to take a golf cart then drag our luggage across the race route to get to the taxi. "We feel very lucky to have been able to reserve a room with a lovely panoramic view of Valparaiso and the bay. The staff were amazing, and the location excellent. We happened upon the Concepcion funicular, an inexpensive way to get down to the harbor area. The neighborhood has many walking tours to look at the street art. A shout out to the staff—Karen who checked us in and was so helpful, Pablo the manager and Melissa on the afternoon shift. Loved this hotel and would choose this one again. "

Great location and very safe
"The hotel can not be reached by car(Uber) as they have to stop as the end of the road it’s a pedestrian road, so you have to take your cases down the end of the road which was fine for us but if you are less mobile this hotel would not be good for you as it has no lift. The benefits outweigh the positives , great views from rooftop bar and restaurant; very clean and staff friendly. I would suggest you use Uber , it’s easy and a lot cheaper than the hotel booking you a taxis to the cruise port. "
