Great little boutique hotel with amazing staff and great rooms. Everything was very clean and the help was awesome. WiFi is good with Starlink and the location of the hotel is good, not too far from the ferry and the center and at the same time in a nice quiet spot of the island. We really enjoyed our last days in Mexico on the beautiful island 😁

My friend and I were looking for a relaxing, upscale spot to stay on Isla Holbox, and Villas Flamingos definitely delivered! The rooms and facilities are really nice, but it's really the staff that makes Villas Flamingos so special. Nothing was too much to ask. The restaurant is also incredible; we figured we'd be going into town for most meals, but we ended up eating at least 2 (and sometimes) 3 meals a day at Mangle. The pools, sand, and beach chairs were well looked-after, too.

I wish this place would continue to be our little secret.
I wish this place would continue to be our little secret. It is small, quiet and a little bit more private that the other places we visited over the past 30 years. It is out of the way, which makes it more appealing to us.

We've taken three trips to Holbox and plan to go again next year because each trip has been better than the last. The people are so nice and friendly and accommodating. The places we've stayed have all been perfect for our group. The laid back, barefoot vibe really works for us. We've taken the 3 Island tour three times and fully enjoyed it each time. Taxis are readily available, and you can find something to eat by just wandering around town into any restaurant that appeals to you. The beaches are beautiful and the weather has been perfect when we've visited - hot but not humid. The island feels very safe. We will definitely keep going back.

The island has beautiful beaches with white and soft sand.
The island has beautiful beaches with white and soft sand. Island is pretty small and easy to get around but taxi rides are not cheap - on avg 150 pesos even for a 5min ride. You can rent a golf car or bicycles or simply walk. You can easily get around town by walking even if you stay abit off the town area but not if you stay at Punta Coco. Lighting is minimal with some potholes, making walking a tad bit dangerous at night. Activities on the island are quite minimal and the same is offered from one vendor to another. We went for the bioluminescence tour which was ok but is unlike what is shown in the photos. We then went island hopping the next day which we felt was a waste of money bcos there's really nothing much to see and not only did you have to pay for the tour, we also had to pay for the conservation, entrance fee to the island that had a cenote which were added cost and we weren't informed until we got there. As for food, I wouldn't recommend Roots Pizza, the lobster pizza was over priced for a measly portion of lobster meat. Had the 4 cheese pizza and you can tell cheap cheese was used. I do recommend La Casa de Nana for the food - great chef! As for drinks, highly recommend AMA Japanese restaurant for their mixology cocktails - super yums!

Holbox Island is a little piece of paradise, we loved it and would highly recommend it. If you want some beach time while in Mexico and don't like the noise and chaos of playa and Cancun(we didn't like Playa) then Holbox is the place.
Beautiful beaches, lovely restaurants water activities, great holiday.
You can walk around the island or get taxis. Taxi cost about 150 peso depending on where you are staying..
There are shops to buy food and drinks if you are self catering.

Such a beautiful unique place - so nice to be somewhere with no cars and where you can cycle around! Such yum food and beautiful beaches. Loved it here and its fast become one of my favourite places in the world.
Let's be honest it's a bit of a trek to get there so you have to hope it's worth it...and oh my goodness it so was! Amazing location, sublime beachfront, the best breakfasts (not to mention the pool-side Margaritas), perfect boutique facilities and the happiest staff! We couldn't have been more delighted and were so sad to leave (there were tears in our eyes when the bell rang, you will know what I mean when you have been). Ps we went to all the other top rated boutique hotels for drinks and still would have stayed here!
One of the best boutique hotels we've stayed at! The service was exceptional, the rooms were beautiful and it exceeded all of our expectations. I'm gluten free and they made sure I had delicious fresh gluten free bread available and even cake which I really really appreciated!! The rooms, service and experience were worth every single penny! I would absolutely recommend going here and we will definitely be back sometime!
Hotel Mawimbi was absolutely stunning, it blew us away, the staff and owners really care and you can see and feel that in lots of details across the hotel. The beach setting is gorgeous, the most luxurious and spaced out of all the hotels we saw in Holbox. The food was also incredible, so easy and relaxing to spend your days at Mawimbi. Cannot wait to go back!
The island is beautiful.
The hotel was in a great position. Easy to access the town and right on the beach. The beach area has sun beds/loungers for guests with the restaurant between them and the hotel.
The beach area appeared to be one of the best having explored the area a little.
The staff were really nice and very helpful.
The rooms were clean and cool.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel, the room was beautifully decorated and the products we had in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, body lotion) were lovely! Overall the hotel is really nice, and the rooftop bar is a bonus. We had a massage once, which was very good. Staff was nice, continental breakfast was simple but good.
Staff, they were wonderful. Very helpful, know the island well and provided accurate information. The beach bar is probably the best in the island, people come from other hotels to take in the sunset. Best location, walk to town, beach front, we enjoy ourselves. Do not miss the happy hour at the beach bar.
Location close to the main street and beach, 5-10min walk
The room was big enought for two adults and we heard not that much noise
The price with the offer is totaly fair
Comfy bed
I recommend the hotel for people who are looking for a simple/cheap room which they can sleep and spend more time outside.
Staff is friendly, they clean thoroughly every day, A/C works well, rooms are big enough and have a balcony. The property is well-located, literally 15 meters from the beach and close to the center. Let alone it was a very economical deal as I paid a low price compared to other hotels on the island.
Lovely little boutique hotel - pretty quiet, outside seating area to have a coffee/food, provided fresh water and had a kettle to use for coffee in the reception area. First time we had seen a conche shell as a tap - lovely touch. Staff were really welcoming and helpful - enjoyed our stay here.
clean, spacious, nicely decorated room with a bath. with air conditioning, hot water and shared kitchen. we had a nice time here. I would recommend it to everyone. We look forward to seeing you back, as Holbox Island has won our hearts.
Perfect tropical decor. Very green with the right amount of palms to provide separation & nice moments at the pool and grounds. Stellar staff. Perfect distance from town. Definitely the best small hotel I've ever stayed in Mexico.
The hotel has a really lovely island vibe. We loved the Caribbean decor, and it felt in keeping with Holbox. A short walk into the main area/beach was easily done and the owners were helpful and always willing to help us.
Staff in the office are fantastic to work with. However, the island is experiencing many power outages (not hotel fault) so we were without power for two days (on/off) mostly off.
