It’s a lovely historic building. Our executive suite (an upgrade we paid for) was very grand, with an entry foyer, a living room and a large bedroom. The floor carpet and living furniture needed to be replaced, as they were out of date and had seen better days. The rooftop restaurant was terrific.

We HAD TO change rooms: the first room was unbelievably noisy because of disfunctional airco and other loud apparatus on the roof. Moreover the room had a distinct ‘smell’: a combination of something ugly and roomspray. Suffocating.
The second room was really good! The hotel team was great though!

We go to Visalia for a convention.
We go to Visalia for a convention. The home was not the blue cottage as there was a last minute problem with the dates we stayed at the Retro modern Home. It was lovely. Very roomy. Close to Convention Center and close to shopping. The Black Bear Diner was very close.

Nice place we stayed on our road trip heading to Sequoia park. A little noisy because it was next to a main road, but ideal to get to and set off the next morning. The pool was nice and the area around it was lovely to relax after a long day of driving. It could be accessed by the back door of all the bedrooms and there were benches to sit on. Would go again. I don't think there were many cheaper options than this when we were searching.

Close to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon.
Close to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon. Visalia is a wonderful little town with fun diners and cafes. Good time diner is a 50’s theme restaurant with fabulous food at great prices. There is also Granny’s cafe with tasty breakfasts in an old time setting. Mama K’s is a very popular Resturant with the locals located in a stick yard auction building.

Stayed in Visalia to visit both Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Although it was a great hotel it was farther than expected to both parks. And, once you arrived at the park entrances, the drive in to the sites was very far. I would recommend staying in the parks if possible. Visalia downtown was cute with many dining options and breweries.

I love a hot cup of tea before going to sleep and a cup of coffee or tea in the morning. Miss not having a coffee pot in the room. Since I come to visit my family I don’t need a plush room so this works well. Checking in was quick and simple, thank you to staff.
Beautiful hotel with a lot of character, a wonderful rooftop restaurant, and kind staff. Convenient to Sequoia National Park. Was a public are that we were able to do work in. Really made our stay in Visalia special. Also, brunch was phenomenal - especially the biscuits w/ gravy!
I absolutely loved everything! The room was amazing and very spacious! I use a wheelchair and absolutely loved everything the bathroom is very clean and spacious and has a seat to shower in. Will definitely be coming back next time I come to Visalia with my family ☺️
This hotel is nicely designed around a pool and gardens. Rooms are OK without being special but the place is certainly OK. It’s about a 25/30 minute walk into town so really taxi is a better option. Bed was extremely comfortable.
Helpful staff. Room comfy. Nice breakfast- even better if there would be a variety of fruit. (I note fruit options have been poor in many of the breakfasts at hotels we used in California)
Enjoyed making ourselves fresh waffles.
Nice and welcoming staff.
Room was spacious and nicely arranged with a small living room area and kitchenette.
Towels and bed sheets were new and fresh.
Good breakfast options offered. Protected parking was also a big plus.
Check in staff was very personable and helpful. Nice at conversation and he was concerned he find a non smoking room even though there was a sign at the desk saying it was a non smoking property.
We have stayed at motel a few times when visiting family in Visalia before Covid. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable enough. Usually spend one or two nights on or visits.
Executive room unappealing, broken up unimpressive for “executive” room. Asked for better convenient location was it at the end of the hall furthest away from front of hotel.
Very friendly, professional staff. We were greeted warmly when we walked through the doors. The room was comfortable. Nice bed and bedding. The hotel was clean.
The location is cool downtown visalia there's a store right around the corner, the rooms are spacious the TV has a lot of channels there's a fridge and microwave.
Great breakfast! Hotel close to downtown Visalia with several choices of nice restaurants and a movie theater.
Only one hour’s drive from Sequoia National Park!
