We enjoyed our stay at the Budget Host Inn. Our room had three beds, which was really nice, and it was quite spacious -- plenty of room for ourselves, as well as three bikes!
This is an older motel on the edge of town, but the owners have kept the place clean. The beds were comfortable and our room was quiet. Everything worked well, and it was a great value.
Emporia is a pleasant little city and we look forward to our return!

I didn't try the breakfast. The staff was as helpful as they could be. It was comfy and cozy, and things went pretty smooth. It was a little bit hidden between buildings, so I didn't find it at first.

8. No soap in bathroom!
9. No nose tissue in bathroom!
10. No lotion in bathroom
11. Small used face towel left in bathroom from previous tenants!
12. Burnt out bulbs in bathroom!

The town was quaint and had many things to visit, see and do. Unfortunately we had appointments beyond our stay here so we didn't have time to explore the area.
Just driving through town to get to our hotel was enough for me to want to come back again. So we decided that the next time we are in the area we plan to stay two nights so we can venture out and see more. I absolutely loved the downtown area and can't wait to browse some of the shops there.

We traveled for 17 days.
We traveled for 17 days. We stayed eight days In Emporia, Ks. Out of ALL the hotels we stayed at, and several were Hampton Inns, Emporia Hampton Inn was by far the best! Two other Hampton Inns we stayed at were HORRIBLE…we had to change our room it was so dirty, and they were unbelievably rude(Grand Junction, Co.)
Another Hampton Inn,(Davenport, Ia) Was AWFUL! We canceled our additional nights and went to another hotel!
All other Hampton Inns need to follow the example of the Emporia Ks. Hampton Inn! They even had fresh cookies every single night! It can make or break your vacation if you’re hotel is terrible! Thank you Hampton Inn Ks. Please don’t let your standards fall👍🏼 We’ll be back😊

I love what they are doing with their revitalization projects in town. They have many startup businesses. They have several boutiques and galleries. and nice places to eat. They have 2 wineries, a brewery and distillery, which is unique to a Midwest town that started as a a "dry town". They have a lot of events going on almost every week. Kudos to their leadership and city development teams!

This is the second time we’ve stayed here.
This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Both times the room, staff and amenities are what we come to expect for our money. I only have one complaint with this facility- the parking spaces are terribly small. You really need to address this as you have been full of construction crew vehicles working in the area. That’s fantastic for the economy, may it continue!

We came for a disc golf theme vacation and Empora lived up to its reputation. Everything in Emporia is easy to get to. The town felt welcoming and we enjoyed a few of the excellent disc golf course in the area, including Swope Park - Cottonwood Falls, Kanza View - Council Grove, Clover Cliff Ranch, and of course, Emporia's own gem, Peter Pan Park. Dynamic Discs staff treated us well, as expected, at their flex tournaments and the store. Radius Brewing was another highlight with good ambience and great food.
Poor selection of food choices. No hot food.. No bananas. Orange was very soft. Only one orange & one banana available.
No staff member was working the food area. The only staff person available was the front desk person who was by herself.
For the price of what we paid we got little return. I have been a long time member but will likely not use Holiday Inn again.
The hosts at the property were very helpful, and reduced our payment when it was found not as listed. The location is excellent for anywhere in Emporia or the area, very close to highway and campus. The set-up of the condo is great, 4 bedrooms with bathrooms in each, a large living room, and kitchen. First floor, no stairs. Ample parking for the building.
The price is reasonable. The place is clean. The bed was comforable. The TV worked.. The little fridge with freezer worked so we had room for ice packs and food for the trip. The AC worked. It was close to the interstate, close to a reasonable gas station, close to restaurants - because Emporia is a nice small town.
Nice older hotel that has been remodeled. Very nice bathroom. Huge bath towels. Comfortable bed. Lots of plugs for gadgets. Nice breakfast. No issues getting a room with our dog traveling with us. Lots of places close by to get something to eat. Plus a couple of gas stations. Easy off, easy on I35.
One of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve had the pleasure of staying in!! Far exceeded my expectations!! For $52 I was shocked and amazed! And the absolute BEST smelling room I’ve ever stayed in!!
Pros:
The hotel is in Emporia close to the disc golf courses we were planning on playing, the price was only 50 bucks, and the AC worked hard all night, keeping the temperature around 70F.
The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and included a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Location was a quick, easy drive to downtown Emporia.
