Seogwipo has so many places to visit and have hidden gems that are not given a lot of reviews. We had a variety of food but we particularly liked the BBQ and Bibimbap. We had rented a car and navigation around Seogwipo has been easy! We loved our trip and will be coming back for more - especially to hunt for more hidden gems!

A Quite place and peaceful, nice for escape.
A Quite place and peaceful, nice for escape. A lot of nice coffee shop and good restaurants. Transportation around the city maybe inconvenient if visitor want to move quickly from a place to another. Renting a car maybe a good option. Only short visit, came for a trail run so didn’t visit much tourists place or attractions.

As I understand it, Seogwipo can refer to both the city as well as the broader southwestern region of Jeju. We did not actually go to the city of Seogwipo. There was plenty to do even closer to our village in the Andeok valley. We hiked up Mt Hallasan (the Yeongsil trail), visited the closest sandy beach at Hwasun, and took the ferry to Marado island, the southernmost point in Korea. Otherwise we spent time walking on the Olle trails and trying local food like black pork and fresh fish. There are plenty of tourist attractions around, but the natural areas are so amazing that we did not make it to these. I could probably spend months on this little island and not get bored. It can be a little daunting to get around without knowing any Korean, but it is doable, and having a host who knows English can help a lot.

It was a lovely hotel with beautiful views and beautiful room. Jacuzzi tub with a view was wonderful. The pool area spectacular. The staff was so kind, friendly and incredibly helpful. The walk to the Secret Garden was soooo secret!!😂😱 The breakfast buffet is probably one of best I’ve ever had anywhere. If you don’t have a car, highly recommend the day taxi tour!’
I’d come back in a heartbeat.
Downside is there isn’t a ton of good options within walking distance. But a short 6500 won ride to Olle Town solves that issue. There is a CU a block or so away from
Hotel.

Seogwipo felt much nicer than Jeju city.
Seogwipo felt much nicer than Jeju city. The feel was small townish. Lovely views, nice restaurants. Some sights like the two best waterfalls were in town. Short driving distance to all sights that we were interested in.
Nice medium sized hotel perfectly placed if you are driving a car. It is just outside Seogwipo downtown and has plenty of free parking. Our fifth floor room had a comfortable bed and stunning view over the town to Hallasan. Breakfast room was large with good buffet variety and coffee. The entire hotel was immaculately clean. There was also a big city park just across the street with sculptures, a pond, and waterfall.
We loved everything! Manager Jay and everyone we met there were amazing and so extremely hospitable. It felt like we were in a 5 star hotel! The place is sooo clean, and the bed is firm, the breakfast was good too! Manager Jay had also kindly assigned us a room facing the main road on the top floor and we could see the tip of Hallasan, it was such a great sight to wake up to! :)
This is the best deal in Seogwipo for sure. It is very close to the harbor and the beach. Nice quiet area with super convenient transportation (bus stop right in front even named after this hotel) Lobby looks chic with good quality coffee 24/7. Staffs are kind and accommodating. The rooms are clean. You can get everything at such low price. I highly recommend this hotel!!!
Good bedroom for the price paid. The location is good, near beautiful waterfalls, but you need a car to explore Jeju (no matter where you stay). The highlight is the spa bath with a nice view. There is a restaurant in the hotel that serves very good bbq pork. Free parking with lots of space. Although we didn't use it, there is a nice pool.
Rooms are clean and airy, get one on oceanside. The other side is too dark view of church and school. I moved to oceanside see pic . Walking to dining and water and market. They shut off the AC in hotel in October so had to ask for fan. Weather was still warm. Staff at desk, housekeeping and engineering all lovely and helpful.
In room jacuzzi - loved soaking in the warm tub with fabulous sea views and winter scape from the tub. The hotel was gorgeous. A luxurious resort feel. Great place to chill for a couple of days.
There are some food options (10 -15 min walking distance) and cafes nearby but not as many as the busier areas of Jungmun or Seogwipo.
Hotel is located in a relaxing environment, away from the city centre. It is approx 30 mins to Hallasan and Seogwipo, close enough to the attractions and to sightseeing in the southern part of the island. Ample car parking available. Staff are friendly, helpful and daily room service is provided.
Quiet, and there was a nice tangerine plantation right outside the building that gave a really nice scent everytime we came back for our rest!
The rooms were very very clean as well, with comfortable beds.
Ample parking eventhough some nights we were late we arriving back to the hotel.
Shin shin seogwipo location cannot be found at maps and bring us to shin shin jeku World.cup.
Ask receptionist..it is far but her action is unfriendly..
Not recommended..due to shin shin hotel seogwipo location is difficult to arrive if u new and have 4 hotel same name.
Clean room, they provide two water bottles every day, a bit small but it was adequate, staff was very helpful and aided me in my attempts to climb Hallasan
There's a 7/11 attached to the hotel's lobby, and the location is really good in the southern part of Jeju.
It is very high quality compared to the price. Daily cleaning. Two bottles of water each day. Comfortable room and bed. Friendly staff and quiet area. I am traveling for long in Jeju and I always go back to this hotel to relax a few days. You will love it too.
Convenient location, easy to find. Very near Seogwipo port which is an excellent area to just walk around and spend some time. Hotel was clean, room was great. Thanks to the staff we realized that Hallasan requires a reservation to be done beforehand.
Nice hotel with lovely staff, well located to visit the southwest side of Jeju Island. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. 7/11 and Starbucks were within walking distance. About 45 drive from the airport (approx 45,000w).
Rooms were clean and spacious. Basic amenities (e.g. fridge, hangers) were provided. Direct bus (bus 600) from the Airport to the hotel. About 20 minutes bus ride away to Seogwipo Bus Terminal. Friendly counter staff :)
Very clean and new business hotel. Comfy bed and good AC. Pleasant people working there. Jeju has become insanely expensive and this offered a great price. Close to the Marado Ferry.
The location in the South of Jeju was great. It was close to many restaurants and the Olle Everyday Night market. The hotel had free parking, a great shower and comfortable beds.
The hotel is a great deal and a convenient location on the East coast of Jeju. Staff was friendly and rooms were an adequate size. Sunrise view from the room was great.
