Koloa and the Kiahuna Plantation development is wonderful.
Koloa and the Kiahuna Plantation development is wonderful. the room we rented was terrible.
Great restaurants in the area: Beach House, Brenecke's, Paco's tacos, .
Stevenson's Library, Eating House, and Merrimans were all great
Plenty of activities - high speed raft, ditch tubing, ATV's, hiking in Waimea. lots of shops.

We had a great stay in the Koloa area and would highly recommend it if you are visiting Kauai. Poipu Beach is a great place to spend a day relaxing, but there are other activities close by if that is your inclination. We had a great tour of the Na Pali coast on a sail/snorkel cruise with Capt. Andy's Boat Tours, and were also in close driving distance to towns of Hanapepe and Waimea for local color on the southern and western parts of the island. The Allerton and McBryde Botanical Gardens was also worth the visit. A bit of a longer drive is to the Polihale State Park to a most beautiful and isolated golden sand beach - the last 4 miles or so are on a bit of a bumpy dirt road that keeps the crowds down, but well worth the visit. There are many dining choices in the Koloa area - we enjoyed Keoka's Paradise in the Poipu Shopping Village and Brennecke's at Poipu Beach for casual dining, and there were many other choices at the resorts in the area. Finally, if you like to snorkel, Lawai Beach is the place to go for the variety of fish. The shore is a bit rocky so it is a little bit of effort to get it, but once in the water it had the best snorkeling on the island, including the beaches on the northern part of the island.

The unit itself was contemporary and very nice!
The unit itself was contemporary and very nice! Beautiful view and sound of waves crashing on rocks below. Hated the key retrieval and lock. We had to sleep in our car the first night due to poor communication from Vacasa. We purchased our own groceries. The roads are a bit confusing because there are few street signs. But, we would stay here again!

Koloa is beautiful and quiet, with public efforts to keep it that way. In winter, weather is variable but the South Shore is most dependable and we hit great weather for hikes and beaches. Wide range of restaurant prices and quality. Traffic can be a problem on other parts of the island.

We stayed in the Villas and we were able to make our meals.
We stayed in the Villas and we were able to make our meals. The Villas have nice blenders in them, we were able to make smoothies with fresh fruit. The pool is amazing, there are actually several pools to go to, all of them are great. There are several hot tubs, which we used every night. The beach, shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The resort has a complimentary shuttle service which we used on a daily basis, very handy. We were a party of 21 and we would ALL stay here again!

When you have a late checkin you must be aware that there are 2 registration offices. We went to the West entrance and not the East Entrance where our key was located! That should be made clear in the reservation.
Excellent location, facilities and amenities. Wanted for nothing. Like a hotel in a home. Linens and towels provided including beach towels. The ice dispensing fridge made it a very comfortable stay. Although there is no air-conditioning, opening of the screened louvred windows in the evening soon renders the abode comfortable. An ideal space for two couples or a family.
Some minor maintenance issues arose during our stay, but they were promptly attended to and did not mar our stay.
We stayed at the Sheraton for one night because we simply couldn’t stay at our other hotel for one night longer. The Sheraton was everything the other hotel was not - luxury, airy, clean and filled with amenities. We didn’t leave the resort for the 24 hours we were there because it has fantastic access to the beach, a beach bar and a pool. We really liked having a patio to sit and relax on during the evenings. Would have liked to have stayed there longer but it was just so expensive.
The hotel is right on the water. Our unit was very spacious and comfortable, but that hardly matters because we spent most of our time on the balcony watching the waves crash against the shore. The staff were very welcoming and helped us find beaches, groceries, and dinner spots. They left a very convenient single use laundry detergent so we were able to check out with a suitcase full of clean clothes!
I signed up for 4 adults but my daughter & husband didn’t want to stay with Mom & Dad. I am interested in units where grandchildren (under 12) stay FREE. I paid $800 but saw units available for $600 children stay free. I will continue to RENT condos for the best deal since I am visiting my grandchildren on Kauai I would prefer $600 check in Friday check out Sunday Lilinoe.Yong@gmail.com
We really liked this little condo! The view from the balcony was phenomenal- people were sitting out nearby to watch the sunset but we could just watch from home! It's right next to a lovely nice restaurant The Beach House which was excellent! Convenient 5 minute drive to all Poipu has to offer. The furniture is a little outdated but it was kind of charming.
Apartment has everything you need - kitchen was fully equipped even there were dishwasher pods, trash bags etc. Even more than we expected. Also the Kauai-an chocolates and cookies were a pleasant surprise. The property of Kiahuna Plantation is so beautiful and green, close to the beach.
Overlooking a stunning black rock beach, large comfortable rooms, wonderful location. Spacious pool with lounges just steps from a sandy swimming beach. Free self-parking and an excellent luau on site (separate cost). A really wonderful place to stay in Kauai.
Clean, nice accommodation in a very new development near Poipu Beach. Very comfortable and spacious, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice. The view from the small porch was quite nice for sunsets and watching people play golf.
We love the Kiahuna Plantation! The traditional Hawaiian vibe is amazing and it's located on the best beach in Poipu. Goreous grounds abd beautiful sunsets from the great lawn!
The hotel pools were good as well as the Hologrill restaurant. The villas were a good size and comfortable. The staff at check in were great and really helpful and friendly.
The resort is beautiful. everything was exceptional. however, travel to Hawaii is not cheap and I thought our room was rather expensive. but it was beautiful.
