staff very friendly at check-in, room was very clean. There were no views to be had as we were more toward the center. But that was fine. It was just one night. It's a great location.

We were originally booked into one of the older cabins however there were issues. After speaking to Sophie at the reception we were moved to an alternative cabin.
The greatest asset of the Strahan Beach tourist Park was indeed Sophie. Listened and efficiently dealt with the issue all whilst being a delight.

Strahan is worth visiting for the Gordon River Cruise and the play, The Ship That Never Was. There is a small nature walk to a small waterfall that is an easy walk. There is a small beach just outside of town as well. Dining options are limited, suggest View 42 buffet, reservations required.

Strahan was a quaint little town with not an awful lot to see and do, but what there is, is worth the visit. We had only the one full day in Strahan - for the river cruise (stayed in town for 2 nights): if we had the time again, we’d allow a second day for local sight-seeing and the train ride. We were exceptionally fortunate with the weather, making the day cruise truly memorable, including some absolutely beautiful scenery and a fascinating tour of the convict settlement on Sarah Island.
Unfortunately, the seafood buffet at ‘View 42 Degrees’ was fully booked out, so we’d advise phoning ahead for that!
We weren’t entirely sure if we’d visit Strahan as part of our Tasmania trip as it was a little ‘out of our way’: we are now glad that we made the effort!

We loved everything we did in Strahan - from staying in the King Suite in the Wilderness Lodge, to the World Heritage Cruise on the Gordon River, The Ship That Never Was play, Hogarth Falls and sunsets over the water on Beach Rd.
The locals were fanatastic too - do yourself a favour and go there !

Strahan was a beautiful little town that had much more to offer than we were expecting. We didn't allow enough time this trip to make the most of what Strahan has to offer so we plan to return in the future to explore further!
I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Strahan area. We travelled with another couple, and there was an abundance of bedrooms to choose from. The house was larger than expected, and extremely comfortable in every area. The view was amazing, and it was quite close to the main area of Strahan. The kitchen was amazing, and the whole house clean and suitable for our needs. The host was easy to contact and lovely to interact with. We would definitely stay here again if travelling in Tasmania.
Lovely clean, comfortable and spacious room with a lovely view of the river. Only a short walk/drive from main part of town. One of the highlights of our stay was receiving a complimentary basket of refreshments and snacks in our room on arrival. My family and I were extremely grateful after the long drive. Hope to return to the pretty and quiet little town of Strahan again soon.
Arrived later than expected. The lovely lady who runs big4 helpful and very informative about any questions we had. Travel with 2 adult children and the set up was just perfect. Clean and well looked after property with everything you could want just across the quiet road. Would recommend the property to anyone couples family travelling too Strahan
We were very fortunate to be allowed to join a very full dining room and enjoy a sumptuous seafood buffet. This introduced us to delicious Tasmanian oysters, which we then proceeded to enjoy in other locations throughout the rest of our holiday.
Many thanks to our gracious host Michelle.
The property is beautiful, very spacious, luxury is the word that comes to mind. We wanted for nothing (other than 2 wine glasses!) Beautiful finishes, fixtures and fittings. Everything is quality. covered off street parking a bonus. Highly recomend this to visitors to Strahan. Thanks!
The bungalow was in a good location and Strahan is a beautiful village. We went on the wilderness cruise and it was a wonderful experience. Go with the red boat. Such a wonderful crew and the scenery was awesome. The play the Ship That Never Was is excellent.
We enjoyed our short stay in Strahan made better by being able to stay at Aloft in the garden studio. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and spacious.Annie was very friendly and the little touches ie chocolates and biscuits were a lovely treat.
Ken and Jo are Fantastic Hosts
The best stay we have had in Tasmania.
A fantastic spot, Old World Charm with all the modern facilities you need.
Would not hesitate to stay here again, and thoroughly recommend it to anyone staying in Strahan.
Very impressive renovated, historic property in beautiful surroundings. Very friendly and helpful staff member. Breakfast was a delight with lovely pastries. Well located in Strahan for wandering around town and walking to the falls.
A very well appointed unit that was clean, fresh, and seemed recently renovated. The location was an easy walk away from all the facilities we required in Strahan. In particular, the supermarket was around the corner.
Castaway Holiday Appartments were well situated and walking distance to Strahan village. The amenities and apartments were clean and comfortable and the managers were very accommodating. We had a lovely stay at Castaway.
The location was amazing! Right on the waterfront across from the Hoggarth Falls trailhead, which was my main reason for coming to Strahan! The room was quite spacious and large with lots of natural lighting!
Location is great. Beautiful vistas of the small Strahan Harbour set out in well laid out gardens and grounds. Includes a grassed children's play area and a small informative trail through the bush.
Slightly out of the town, Ormiston House is only a short walk from the main activities that Strahan has to offer. It is a quirky hotel, a former private home, and the rooms reflect that.
Being "out of town", it offered better value than right in the tourist hub. The pub had a good menu to choose from and less expensive than around the waterfront area.
