The room, and especially the bed, was quite comfortable; and a very friendly cat visited us in our room. Having a comfortable sofa was a major plus. The ‘settlement’ is quite charming, with a bit of a mining camp feel. And most other guests were friendly.

We loved staying in the heart of the historic town of Bridgeport California. We found the people of the town of Bridgeport to be very friendly and made us feel right at home. Despite being a small town, there are many food options available in the local restaurants. The scenery of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding this town are breathtaking!

Perfect place to stop for the night on our journey to SoCal. We got to enjoy the incredible scenery of the East side of the Sierras with a stop at Manzanar. Recommend stopping at Nicelies for breakfast after Mono Lake!

Much nicer than I expected. Very clean and fresh feeling.
Much nicer than I expected. Very clean and fresh feeling. I will stay here again, no need to look anywhere else. Relative had a room down the street and it did not even come close to the comfort level I had at Redwood motel. They also will now book at Redwood motel for their next trip.

Only a couple eating places open, and you have a choice of burger haven, a deli, a brewery (closed at 2pm), ice cream place, and the Bridgeport Inn restaurant which had poor food reviews. We chose to eat outdoors so we had deli sandwiches at Alberts. Not good.
Because it was cheaper than other places I’d stayed in town, I was a little leery. I’d also heard the parking was “tight” and it was. I worried about dents, to be honest, although I didn’t experience any. Inside was comfortable and fairly clean, although the grime around the door handles and locks on the inside was off putting. That should have been an easy fix with a few swipes of a sponge. Overall, my stay was neutral. The TV and wifi were reliable. I appreciated the quaintness of the motel’s exterior.
Very welcoming, personal and communications were great. Met my needs passing through from Tahoe to Mammoth. Very well priced and comfortable. Expectations should not be luxury, it was a great value option on a Saturday night with a comfortable, clean room with all the basics (Wifi, TV, communication and hospitality) well covered. Just outside of downtown Bridgeport (~2 blocks downtown) provides incredible Sierra views outside your doorstep.
Almost nothing…. Room was poor and not renovated. Beds were not comfortable. No air conditioning in the room. Phone did not work. Tv did not work so we had to go to the office and ask the employe to come and fix it, what she did. Wifely worked in the office or nearby…. Bathroom very tiny…. The office lobby was closed all night and did not open until 8 am….
I had passed this historic looking inn on my way to Lake Tahoe many times and thought on this occasion I would like to break up my trip with an overnight here. The place is obviously a converted venerable home from back in the day and has a nice interior and parlour area that serves as a hotel reception. The bar area is small and comfy.
No breakfast was available here at Walker River Lodge, but Virginia Creek Settlement Restaurant a few miles down the road south was recommended. We had breakfast at this location and found the food and service very good. After breakfast, we went on to visit Bodie Historic Park.
Family owned business. Excellent facilities and property. Laundry facilities. Guests are treated to a bonfire every evening. There is a nice hiking trail in the back of the property. Lovely grounds with barbecues as well. Minuets from Bodie or Bridgeport
Oh what a place! We were amazed from the second we arrived. Staff and owners were so welcoming. Our cabin was spacious and the bed was very comfy. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant.
When we arrived, we even got a smores kit!
Staff is so nice, the location is great. You can walk to restaurants and it's convenient to lots of the activities in the area (fishing, hiking, etc.) Pet friendly with a nice lawn to walk pets on.
30 mins to Mono lake, a restaurant, and a bar right inside the motel (approx. $20 per food and it does not matter if it is a dinner or breakfast, but great local beer for $9), really authentic room
Restaurant was of far higher quality that we may have otherwise expected. Room was too cold until we figured out the thermostat. Location was near Bodie State Historic Park, my destination.
The hotel crew were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were up-to-date electronically. The only suggestion I have would be a solid surface in the bathroom to put toiletries.
The Silver Maple Inn was a perfect spot to spend the night before visiting Bodie State Park early the next morning. The grounds are lovingly maintained and our room was spotless.
It’s a very cute town and this is a modest but nice hotel. Staff was great, room was clean and comfortable. Loved the view out the back of my room. It was right on a creek.
