Location, balcony with table for laptops made for a wonderful start each day. Even though there were many families with children, the adult pool was buffered from the sounds of children playing in the family pool, creating a beautiful sanctuary.

3 Bedroom condo was very nice.
3 Bedroom condo was very nice. Comfortable beds and kitchen fully stocked. location great. Nice lunch (and breakfast) spot nearby at Johny's restaurant at Golf Pro Shop. Wish we could have golfed. Excellent pool and workout area per my friends. Tennis courts strange matt surface. Hard to see #s on other condos at night to find location of our friends who were also staying there. But overall, a great facility and will be back!

Waikoloa is a great affordable luxury resort development.
Waikoloa is a great affordable luxury resort development. It is the kind of place where you can take walks and enjoy the beautiful landscaping or for dining and shopping. Many excellent tour companies (Kailani Tours) do pick-ups here and Waikoloa is well situated for exploring all parts of the island.

The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are lovely.
The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are lovely. However, the food was mediocre at best, very overpriced and not fresh. The staff were not overly helpful or friendly. I would be hesitant to recommend this resort to friends and family.

We were a family of 5 and this was great!
We were a family of 5 and this was great! It gave us plenty of space and we were able to relax in the room and grill and cook a few meals in. There is shopping, restaurants, a movie theater, and a BIG ABC store that has everything you could want - groceries, take out, souvenirs, etc all right across the street within walking distance. Its only about 20 min from the airport but has lots of open space and a very quiet feel to everything. Its a very short drive to several beaches and only about an hour or so to anything else on the Island. We were on 3rd floor and elevator is small and very slow but is helpful with luggage. The garage had lots of beach gear available for use. Small but nice swimming pool just a few buildings down with beautiful landscaping around it and a shaded patio if you are hanging out and watching kids swim.

The Mauna Lani Beach Club is a wonderful beach and it was a huge plus to have access to the cabanas and furniture based on the fact the unit had a membership there. We enjoyed the fact that the unit was close to restaurants (Tommy Bahama) and groceries (Foodland).
Morning walks around Mauna Lani are wonderful and easy access over to the beach is convenient. It's also simple to travel over to Waikoloa for even more shopping and restaurants. The Lava Lava Beach club has great food and is right on the water where we got to see a Monk Seal swim in the bay.
Also, I would recommend exploring the full Big Island. There are wonderful national parks and you can see so much and so many different climates and landscapes. It is truly unique compared to the other islands.
We were able to see whales each day when we drove north up Kohala.
All in all a wonderful trip for our 10th visit to the islands.

The unit we stayed at was not clean, new fridge didn't work so we had to throw all of our food away without compensation, water heater did not work propperly the first day, patio door handle was broken and room was knowlingly left unlocked, many bulbs burned out or missing, a lot of dishes and silverware were dirty. Would not recommend.
First of all, the grounds are SO well maintained and absolutely beautiful!! We had quite a few extremely windy days and there was always a crew of grounds-people cleaning up after the winds. They really care about the landscape and flora here. I read several reviews about the Ocean Club rules...and this is true. They are very strict in there and poolside. But by no means a deal breaker. Just be resigned to eat/drink their items and/or fill up b4 you go in. :-) BTW...Kathy (server in Ocean Club) is THE BEST!!
The manager is awesome! The first unit we got was next to very noisy neighbors in a unit managed by a private owner. He moved us to a different room. Made for a much better stay! The units are nice & very comfortable. There were reviews about bugs, etc. Made me think twice about booking. There weren't any bugs. It was clean. The staff is very nice. The location is off the beaten path, but not by much. It's more serene than being in Kailua-Kona or Waikoloa, but you do need to drive pretty much everywhere.
The unit was very clean and had all the extras that we could possibly need such as towels, washer and dryer, kitchen gadgets, beach supplies, board games, BBQ, plus more. The property grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The property was gated and felt safe. Plenty of space in the unit for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. So much more to explore nearby the unit that we didn't get a chance to. There is an ocean view trail with access right on the property.
The Waikoloa Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa was a nice hotel with a great location with a direct access to the ʻAnaehoʻomalu Beach where you can do some great snorkeling and even see green sea turtles. The room was spacious and clean. I would say that if you want to stay on this coast and part of the island the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa is a good option but you need to lower your expectations.
Accommodation interior was perfect. Suited 2 couples very well, with own bathrooms. Well-equipped kitchen and dining areas for self catering. Space to relax in doors and out. Communal small gym and swimming pool. Beach equipment was good and clean. Lockable garage and outdoor parking space provided. Host Michel, was easily contactable at the end of a phone call or email- quick to respond.
Our ocean view room in the Palace Towers was excellent. It was very large, clean, and had great views of the resort and ocean. The customer service at the Hilton Waikoloa was outstanding. Whether we needed coffee and creamers, towels, plastic bags, extra pillows, valet service, or anything else we requested, it was taken care of immediately.
Loved the openness of the resort and the outdoor dining. Food was excellent. Vacationers were constantly coming and going, but the resort never felt crowded. Housekeeping was spot on and always made sure we had plenty of coffee and towels. Location was perfect, very close to shopping, black sand beach, helicopter tours, etc...
In terms of facilities - one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The pool was insane, the shuttle service very handy, ability to enjoy the whole Hilton campus, and the apartment was very comfortable and equipped with everything we could possibly need for our stay.
This is a terrific location but the signage makes it a bit difficult to locate anything in the compound. A clearer map would have been helpful. Easily walk to the pool and the beach. Short drive to restaurants and food shopping.
What I liked best was the extras that we couldn't provide. Such as the extra beach towels, pool toys, fans, and starter supplies. I thought it was super thoughtful. Also that it was easy to get in and out of the complex.
Nice big space. Entire family feels like at home. Close to pool and jacuzzi with massaging jets that were great as well as barbecues and exercise room. Close to everything that Waikoloa is offering and close to Kona.
This hotel is stunning and is situated on a beautiful property with a beautiful beach. We loved everything about our stay! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool, food, and amenities were great!
Nice resort that also has permanent residents. Very outdated but cannot beat the price. Location isn't great but it isn't too far from beach and other activities. friendly staff. Great overall stay
Very comfortable and clean condo with nice on site amenities (pool, hot tub, grill, gym). The Waikoloa neighborhood also has access to the beach as well as shopping centers and restaurants.
