Fantastic, intimate hotel, Batak-style architecture. Located approx. 10 min from the main ferry dock in Tuktuk. The hotel also has its own small marina, you can ask the reception desk for a boat to take guests directly from the hotel. Large rooms with a balcony with a beautiful view of the garden with a swimming pool and the lake. There is no air conditioning in the room because it is unnecessary, the temperatures on the Samosir island are not too high, but there is a fan. The fridge is only available in the rooms of a higher standard, but you can use the fridge located in the dining room. Delicious breakfasts, elegantly served. The owners of the hotel and the staff were very helpful and friendly. You can arrange a scooter rental at the hotel. At the end of the stay, a nice surprise in the form of a gift.

From the beginning, Franz and Jojor, the owners of Hotel Barbara were so friendly and helpful we felt right at home. We could relax and swim in the lake, paddle board, kayak, rent scooters, or get a wonderful massage by the shore with the gentle breeze coming off the lake. The food was great and the prices were great too! Paradise!

We lived in a wonderful apartment: clean, well furnished, ample and comfortable. We did not use the kitchen facilities that were available and exploited instead the very attractive and satisfactory meal options provided by the structure itself. In a word, we have been coddled for the whole length of our stay. Should we come back to lake Toba (which we hope) this will be the first address to look for.

The breakfast was awesome and delicious. The coffee house view is great as facing to the Lake Toba. We enjoyed staying here. My youngest daughter has enjoyed the swimming pool and also fishing activity. The hotel provides fishing rod without any charges. Mdm Melanie is such a good person where she entertained everyone with awesome hospitality. My youngest daughter even gifted her a small key chain as Christmas gift as likes her so much. Definitely, will recommend to our friends about Zoe's Paradise Waterfront Hotel.

This hotel is on great location. It closed to many restaurants. Aside from that, they also have quite spacious car parking area. Our room was clean and cozy, but the veranda has many fallen leaves (no problem). Great morning view. They have their own private pier for those who left their vehicle at Parapat. Also, when high tide, you will have private pool which connect to Lake Toba. The breakfast is also considered good. And they also give you free basic amenities.

Quite nice and central location. It's about 15 minutes by feed to reach the ferry. An Indomaret is around the corner. The owner was very helpful and supporting by figuring out things. There is a small cooking spot and drinking water is provided. The view from the balcony to Lake Toba is amazing.

Their rooms were unique with a traditional batak style or even a regular brick wall chalet. It seemed like an orchard with so many different kinds of fruit trees. We had a room that faced the sunrise and we could even see the sunset within the resort, a few steps away to the other side. The room was comfortable and clean with good ventilation but as you're surrounded by nature, be prepared for some bugs that might have snuck in. Evan from reception was extremely helpful and assisted us to arrange tours for us and give us suggestions on where we should go. Rahman was also very kind and helpful to give a tour of the resort and even the names of the fruits. We even managed to try the local avocados (it has a sweet aftertaste which is different from what I am used to but delicious irregardless).
