On Mount Desert Island, these accommodations are located amidst the dining, shopping and entertainment options in downtown Bar Harbor.

The hotel felt very much like Maine. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful. The location was perfect for walking to shops and restaurants. We were there during a snowstorm and the staff was very considerate and brushed off all the cars in the parking lot. Very thoughtful staff.

Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!!

Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!! All the shops and restaurants seemed locally owned and unique to the area. We enjoyed lots of seafood like fresh lobster, clam chowder and lobster bisque. Be sure to walk the coastal path and take a harbor cruise! We loved flying Cape Air from Boston to Bar Harbor to see the coast and islands--just be sure to pick up your luggage in Boston and bring it to the Cape Air terminal! Restaurants we liked-- Geddy's, Ben & Bills Chocolate Emporium for ice cream/gelato/fudge, Stewman's, Bar Harbor Lobster Pound --they had outdoor games, too! Of course, don't miss Acadia National Park and Abel's Lobster right by the yacht yard--great outdoor ambiance!!

We enjoyed sunrises at Cadillac Mountain, crossing the bar at low tide, hiking the Beehive, the Bubbles, and Acadia Mountain, and walking on a small portion of the carriage roads. Bar Harbor had great food, but it was tough to get into the restaurants. Our favorite was the Side Street Cafe. We went in late October. Pros - lower crowds. Con - water activities and some restaurants were already closed for the season.

We loved Gaylns restaurant, excellent food. Whole belly clams were terrific at the Thirsty Whale. You can walk just about every where. The Sightseeing & Nature Cruise with Acadian Nature Cruises was worth taking.

    absolutely gorgeous.

absolutely gorgeous. Loved the distance from the hotel to Acadia Nt'l Park, as well as, to the center of Bar Harbor. Love all the shops & exploring the different restaurants in town. We've been 1x before & the weather was perfect for getting great views @ the top of the mountains in Acadia. This time, we weren't so lucky - very foggy daily. But it was still just as beautiful. Highly recommend. the outdoor pool & hot tub are fantastic here after a long day of biking/hiking. The view of the ocean with the docked ships is quite beautiful. If you're lucky like we were, you may see Bald Eagles, deer or other wild life. :)

We had a different perception of what Bar Harbor was going...

We had a different perception of what Bar Harbor was going to be like. We also met a few people downtown at a restaurant's outdoor fireplace that had the same opinion. We thought it was going to be a quaint town on the coast. It was very touristy with an abundance of t'shirt and souvenirs shops. Our visit took place first week in October, lots of people. We found parking downtown, you just need some patience. The Chart House has a great happy hour on the pier out back, great cocktails $10 (not well, premium labels) and fresh oysters ($2ea) Our recommendation would be to stay at a smaller town on the coast with access to Acadia National Park. The park has 40+ miles of bike trails, called carriage trails, and the drive up Cadillac Mountain is worth making a reservation on-line. Views from the top are beautiful

Clean, spacious room with a private balcony overlooking gardens and trees displaying beautiful fall foliage. The room’s decor was simple and perfect and restful— not distracting. A walk of a couple blocks brings you to the bar for which Bar Harbor is named, and where you can walk to the island beyond at low tide. Neighborhood the Manor is in is out of the fray of the bustle of Bar Harbor’s Main Street. Breakfast was a treat—billed as “continental”, but a generous, high end continental.

This is our 2nd year visiting Acadia National Park and staying in best Western Acadia Inn..we love the place! Very accessible to the park and downtown. The Inn is well maintained, staff are courteous and the breakfast is good..nothing extraordinary but decent and served hot.I love that the protocols for Covid prevention are being followed. Plus is the pool which my kids loved! For sure we will be back as we love Bar Harbor and will be staying at this Inn again.

The Atlantic Oceanside was the perfect place for my fiancé and I to spend a weekend away in Bar Harbor exploring Acadia. It was a 4 minute drive from downtown and if we wanted to we could have walked. The views from the balcony in our room were spectacular. Waking up every day with that view was our reason for coming to Bar Harbor. It was also easy to get into the National Park from where the hotel was located. It was 17 min to top of Mt. Cadillac.

Acadia Inn is a clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay. Although it is a little bit of a walk from the main centre of Bar Harbor, it is conveniently located across the road from the Bistro, where we had some of our favourite meals. I thought the hotel offered excellent value for money.

This is a hidden gem! Off the road so quiet and a true ocean view. It was foggy for our first 36 hours, not unusual for Maine. It is an older Hotel but bed was very comfortable, all supplies were at hand, and very clean, and quiet.
