Falmouth is a hilly town but has lots to offer for all age groups if you can walk up hills. The town is like most other towns with many empty shops sadly but there are still lots of shops and independent shops. The art gallery was a bit disappointing although the building it was in is beautiful. The Museum is good value for money and you can return any time within the year once you have paid entrance fee. Falmouth is very close to lots of other nice places in Cornwall. You can easily walk from the train station into town. I ate at Verdant Tapas bar and another Tapas bar outside of town, you cannot pre book at Verdants. The town is a bit tatty in places but it adds to its character! Lots of places to eat to cater for all peoples tastes!

I love having a variety of safe sandy swimming beaches with calm waters ideal for paddleboarding, kayak exploration. Great range of places to eat, lots of options for vegans. Always some type of live music on somewhere. Good vibe to the town. Ideal location to explore the surrounding area by foot. A must visit is the Wilder Kitchen, such a gem serving delicious Thali. Also Castle beach cafe for takeaway breakfast or lunch and Ciuri Ciuri for the best italian Gelato (always great vegan choices too)

Falmouth is a compact sea-side town with plenty of restaurants and a thriving arts community. While one can easily walk around Falmouth there are also many attractions within a short drive. Taxis are also readily available.

We loved falmouth and are looking forward to visiting in the spring. Great independent shops with loads of places to eat and drink.
Gilly beach was fab and the restaurant was great
Well be sure to visit again
wonderful hotel in a great location. wonderful park opposite for a morning walk. my husband and I stay here every year for our weekend break in Falmouth. they provide all you’ll need for a stay, towels and toiletries and a well stocked tea tray, even umbrellas for you to borrow if needed. Had a lovely chat with the lady at the front desk , housekeepers were very friendly. There is hand sanitizer all over the hotel and they even provide a bottle in room. Check in is simple and seamless. brilliant hotel and look forward to our stay next year.
We have stayed here 4 times now, as Alex is at Falmouth University and we use the hotel to stay when we either bring Alex down or take him home. The beds are super comfy and very big. Shower is always nice. I used the gym this time which was good. It had a wide variety of equipment and I was the only one in there. I always like the use of free tea/coffee using the machine in the foyer. We didn't have the breakfast this time as ate out but the breakfast is very nice as we've had this before. All in all, a nice stay.
Fabulous view of Falmouth bay from our bedroom, breakfast room and bar area.
Exceptionally clean throughout.
Breakfast freshly cooked to own liking and ready at time booked. A wide choice too - all you need and more for a hearty breakfast.
Late bar to 11 pm for a drink before bed after a day out if needed. Coastal walks from hotel and to the centre of Falmouth about a mile or so away - reception staff give you all the help you need. All the staff were great.
Beach just yards away, café and local Co-op.
After travelling for fourteen hours from France to Falmouth we were very tired and a long soak in the bath and a good night’s sleep in a big comfy bed was just what we needed. We arrived at 10.30pm and were met with a cheery welcome. The host could not have been more friendly and helpful. The hotel is immaculately clean and freshly decorated with lovely soft furnishings. Great location, close to town and beach. Really enjoyed our short stay.
Short staffed over NYE but that didn't impact on the fantastic service we received. Wonderful hotel and amazing spa. Big thanks to the resort director who saved our NYE dinner at The Cove after missing our taxi and him offering to drive us there! What more can I say other than I can't wait to return to this little piece of tranquility in the beautiful town of Falmouth!
The location was excellent, overlooking a lovely bay. It was a really nice walk along the pavement either way, and the beach was only a few minutes away. Also a pretty easy 20 minute walk to Falmouth centre. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were helpful. Loved the extra terraced area to sit outside and admire the bay view.
Amazing food, surpassed our expectations and the best food we had while in Montenagro. Very welcoming and friendly staff, we felt really looked after for our entire stay!! The hotel is SO clean and beautiful. Sea view and balcony, what more could you ask for?! Would definately stay here again and cant recommend more highly!!
Falmouth is a beautiful place, we are both determined to come again. Incredible room with sea view. The host was so welcoming and friendly, she got a lovely cake for my wife when she learned it was her birthday - thank you! Delicious breakfast. Excellent conversation with her and her partner about the area
Breakfast was very good, dinner just excellent. We had a roadside room - knowingly, and therefore there was some traffic noise but not too bad. The overall standard of the hotel was high.
The staff were all very good being both helpful and knowledgeable.
What a lovely old-fashioned hotel in a peaceful part of Falmouth. Tasty breakfast was included in a dining room with the best seaside view in town. Good wifi and plenty of parking. Staff were friendly and, all-in-all, it was a good stay.
Wonderful traditional high ceilings could open windows. Geoff extremely well organised man. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in in the last 50 years.
I recommend going to Falmouth, just to experience the The Grove.
This is now my first choice hotel to stay in in Falmouth. It's clean, tidy and the staff are lovely. The breakfast is wonderful and hits the spot. It's located near the sea - you are woken by the sound of crashing waves.
Midway between two stations and close to the harbor shops and cafes. I appreciated the ease of check-in as I was on foot and with a backpack. Falmouth is a fun town to visit, and I'd request this room again next time.
The hotel property was beautiful with a stunning location next to the river and just a few minutes walk from Falmouth town centre. The staff were very professional and attentive. Breakfast was excellent.
It’s a shame they built an apartment block in front of the resort, blocking the amazing view. The marketing and website hide this well.
Otherwise the hotel and facilities are fantastic
Unfortunately I didn't have breakfast because the chef had to go out and get bacon. Meaning it would be too late as I had other arrangements. The hotel is absolutely beautiful.
