Our family stayed for 5 nights in early April to go skiing at Mt. Bachelor. Campfire hotel lives up to it's great reviews. The hotel was perfect for us. It was about a 3 minute drive from downtown shopping and restaurants but across the street from a Safeway and 7-11 a block away. Very convenient to get everywhere! The food scene in Bend is out of this world so we enjoyed trying new restaurants every day. The mountain was 30 minutes away. The hotel has got a very cool vibe with thoughtful PNW hipster touches throughout. The rooms are updated and stocked with reasonably-priced outdoorsy hiking snacks and muscle recovery soaps/lotions and an outstanding variety of post-adventure recovery beverages in the minibar to purchase. In the evenings, the large outdoor firepit and the heated pool (100 degrees in the winter!) and hot tub are a great place to relax and/or meet fellow travelers. The bar has tasty snacks and unique drink options to choose from. Sunday nights you can enjoy karaoke! Some days the pool was empty others it was busier (on the weekend) and a fun way to get travel recommendations and local tips. Overall a really outstanding experience! Thank you!

Great town, very active, it would be really nice to paddle board there, go hiking and I went to the best fly fishing shop I've ever seen at Old Mill (https://www.oldmilldistrict.com/shops/confluence-fly-shop/). Had a couple of beers at Confluence fly shop. Pizza at Pinky G's (https://pinkygs.com/) was fantastic.

The whole city was clean and organised.
The whole city was clean and organised.
Very few old vacant plots throughout making it a city of quality.
The "old town' with its shops and good quality food outlets, history information , river frontage and walks were an unexpected series of highlights for our restful day.

I loved how friendly the drivers are, all the food truck pods, and fun outdoor spaces. So many gorgeous trails to explore and the shopping at the Mill District. So fun to see an operational Blockbuster store and a Barnes and Noble store.
Beautiful river front and public parks.

So much to do in and around Bend.
So much to do in and around Bend. If you are nature lover, you can easily spend 3-4 days here or even more.
The area is rapidly expanding... expect traffic and impatient / borderline rude drivers!
We liked and enjoyed areas around Bend more than Bend itself.

I was a participant in the Arts Festival so my experience was skewed.
Bend is a lovely, overcrowded town. It has some wonderful neighborhoods, mostly the older ones are best. Bend is very expensive. Lodging was the highest of any city I've worked in. We had a hard time finding seating in downtown restaurants and the prices were higher than other comparable cities. Drivers near where I was for the festival were impatient and aggressive.
Bend is nice, but it suffers from the success of aggressive advertising that has worked, perhaps, too well.

Bend is amazing.
Bend is amazing. There are so many activities for couples, families, solo travelers. Hiking, paddling, biking, shopping, skiing. It's a year round destination. I love Bend. The coffee and beer options are endless, and if you are a foodie, it is a great place to visit. We went to Yoli on this trip, a small Korean cuisine restaurant - the food was delicious! From high end, to dumplings, to gelato...you will find what you are looking for. Although my son and I were not into the nightlife scene, I am sure for the youthful traveler or those looking for a good time in the evening Bend would also not disappoint. Enjoy!
Nice pool and hot tub though I didn't get round to using them - but I dipped my fingers in and the temperatures were nice.
Good size room, bathrooms were presentable though loo seat had bit marks. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast on day 1 with bacon was good but no bacon second day.
Having discoverd that all the restaurants near the hotel stopped serving at 8pm (wierd or what?) we had supper at the fast food Teryaki restaurant close to the hotel which was excellent though very cafe style.
-Room size is definitely larger than average for a double queen. Very Nice.
-Nice large lobby area that always open with coffee available. This was the best area to reliably use wifi.
-Swimming pool was decent - easy to access and not too busy both days we were there.
-Great shower - hooray.
-Good hot breakfast, though fairly general for hotels.
-Comfortable beds, reliable air-conditioning and airflow in the room
-We like rooms that have sinks outside of the bathroom like this one!
Last year I came by myself (and stayed in a room with one queen bed). I was traveling alone and felt safe staying there. After a long day on the road I loved being able to relax in the pool and get food right on the premisses. Enjoyed it so much that I recommended that my friend and I stay there when we visited Bend (a year later). This time we were put in a room with two queen beds on the opposite side of the pool. This year I enjoyed the pool, not much else.
We've stayed at this place many times during our visits to Bend. This is the best deal compared to the outrageous prices for most of the inexpensive hotels in the area. It's small but clean and quiet. We were confused about how to use the satellite tv. We could have asked for help but didn't spend much time in the room. If you care about watching tv in the room, you might want to ask for instructions at the desk.
I like that they are pet friendly (even though its only certain rooms and its $200 fines for damage, complaints, not being in a dog room or not saying we have a dog) and I like that its located near town so lots of things were in walking distance (however, lots of other hotels in this area to choose from aside from this one).
Great location, very close to downtown. Comfortable sofa bed a plus. the kitchen was very well stocked with tea and coffee. Spacious and comfy. We liked the skylight in the bathroom as it added light but was still private. The desk people were helpful and welcoming. A very reasonable price for a hotel in Bend.
For the price, this motel is pretty good. The room was a little small, but it was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The woman at the front desk was very friendly. The location is good with the hotel being very close to the main road (Hwy 97/3rd St).
Loved the location, walkable to downtown restaurants. The room was beautiful, cozy and very stylish. The bed was comfortable. Easy access to the interstate for visiting nearby parks and attractions. Loved Smith Rock Park! Could have spent more time in this area, loved Bend!!
Located conveniently a few minutes drive to Bend downtown while at the same time being right next to mountain biking trails which was fantastic. Great coffee, bike rentals, spacious room and comfortable beds. And they are pet friendly! What not to like!:)
This hotel, and my room specifically, is in one of the best locations in Bend! The Deschutes River was right outside my patio door. The view was lovely.
The room was huge though underused. It could held more furniture and be more inviting.
Very much enjoyed staying here and would return! We ended up extending our stay by another night. Spacious room, walking distance to downtown if you're up for it (about 15 minutes), free parking, great vibes. An excellent value in Bend.
Hotel staff were awesome, so friendly and helpful. We have a beagle puppy, Elly May, who received more than her fair share of treats from the front end staff.Room was large and very clean. We shall return.....breakfast was delicious too
Everything! The best hotel since I've been on the PCT trail! Bicycles were fantastic to get around to do my errands for my hike. Even got into my room 2 hrs. early!! Absolutely the best hotel in Bend, Oregon.
For one of the most affordable motels in Bend it’s what you would expect. It did the job. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly. It was quiet at night, which was very nice.
Pine Ridge has great location and a small Inn ambiance...easy to get around Bend and can mountain bike from the hotel; much preferable to the franchise hotels!
Fire pits, Tap room lobby with lodge feel and fire places, newly updated rooms. Proximity to Mt. bachelor and Bend. Will be back for sure. Oh great staff.
