We loved Guanajuato and would go back sometime. We were only there two nights as a quick stop on our drive home to the US. It's an amazing city with the mining history and tunnels carved in the mountain. The architecture in the historic center is gorgeous, many buildings are from the 1700 and 1800s. We loved climbing the hill to the statue for the view as well as just wandering and exploring. There are all kinds of restaurants and street food, music in the streets every night and lots of shops of souvenirs. We recommend spending several days here.

Small, wonderful, kaleidoscopic, walkable, and friendly city...
Small, wonderful, kaleidoscopic, walkable, and friendly city to visit and explore. Great range of activities available: art and architecture, museums and music venues and food options (from street food on up) and hiking in the surrounding hills. Speaking Spanish helps, even if at a rudimentary level like mine. Guanajuato is an easy to just be. And if you forget the sunscreen ... farmacias to the rescue! Enjoy your visit.

Guanajuato is beautiful, full of colour & character.
The people are very friendly.
It's full of life. There's lots to see & lots to do.
I love walking through the quirky streets. It's very hilly. The views are spectacular.
They call it a magic town. I see why.
I've been here for 5 days so far & the more time I spend here the more I love it.

It is a beautiful city with lots to explore.
It is a beautiful city with lots to explore. It is more historic and lots of walking but we enjoyed. My kids enjoyed it even with it not being a lot of attractions geared towards children. Lots of street vendors and delicious foods.

The people were very friendly.
The people were very friendly. A lot of walking goes on with very little other transportation. There are definitely a huge number of people walking the street that usually come up from the tunnels. The tunnels being the major source of entrance into the city. The parks are usually full of people walking around and in the evenings they have lots of songs and and other activities.

What a wonderful city, so rich and vibrant.
What a wonderful city, so rich and vibrant. Very colorful and moving. El Pipila overlooks the City, both the grand and simple buildings. You can feel the history of this place. The infrastructure and buildings are magnificent, the people generous, the comida tipica delicious. The cacophony of sound: music, vendors, traffic on stone streets, peeling church bells, and people interacting gives a special hum to this lively city.
There is amazing street art and many museums, sculptures and statues, parks and plazas, stone steps and alley ways and beautiful smiles. The well thought out network of tunnels lessens traffic and are an invitation to enjoy this walkable city.
· I guess this is the „must book“ hotel when in Guanajuato. It was in the center of the city with a beautiful view and it just gave me „main character vibes“. ;) First of alle very friendly staff, we were able to park at the hotel and they helped us with our luggage. The room was pretty spacious for a „in the center hotel“ and the bed was very comfortable. We didn’t eat here so I can’t say anything about the food.
No breakfast was included. The hotel is in a beautiful historic building in the middle of the historic center of Guanajuato. It was a little difficult to find as the streets are narrow and windy. We walked everywhere. There was a lot to see and do. The parking was very helpful and on site. The beds were very comfortable and the linens nice quality.
A smart but stylish space which the owner has carefully thought about all the details for .
e.g. a garrafon of drinking water supplied - a surprisingly rare thing in Mexico!
Wi-fi nice and fast.
All clean and tidy, with useful cooking facilities and basics (salt, oil etc).
Great location right near town, situated in a locked compound.
The hotel is at a perfect location and provides free parking at the location, which is very rare in Guanajuato. The property had its best days but those are gone. The main plaza is very noisy at night but they have rooms facing away from the main plaza – ask for a room facing Truco.
It is aroud 30 minutes from Guanajuato city, in green area, big territory with little farm, what our kids liked a lot. They updeted our room to suite, what was a nice surprise! In the evening we had a fireplace, what makes this staying unforgettable!
I enjoyed everything about our stay, I’ve been to Guanajuato multiple times and this has been my ultimate favorite. Staff was friendly and the hotel was spotless. Specially a young lady from reception I didn’t get her name but she wears glasses.
Little nice boutique hotel with a very unique design in every room. It was clean; the owner is very nice, you can use the kitchen and dining room. It’s walking distance from downtown Guanajuato, a very nice walk and safe.
Wonderful hotel ....
The boss is very welcoming and helpful. The situation is very good, offering one of the best view of Guanajuato. Very good breakfast. Very good price considering the services...
Secure parking at another nearby location.
Bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure.
Hotel is close to everything wonderful about Guanajuato!
Buffet breakfast was available in hotel.
I booked this trip for my parents. They’re both retired and have stayed in Guanajuato before at different hotels; but this hotel just blew their minds with the spectacular location and views.
A well located hotel right in the centre of the city, a good base to explore all the highlights without needing a car. Solid breakfast too, though it does start quite late at 9am.
