Cabin was well stocked, clean, neat, and tidy. I was surprised that they did have Wi-Fi and they had Roku for the TV. It was perfect for our family get away for the Holidays. It was very close to the hot springs, pool, and the grocery store. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay here again.

I love the concept of the hotel. I love the location. I love the beds.
The town is pleasant and a relaxing quiet place. If you enjoy soaking in mineral springs or fishing, you will have a good time. After Memorial Day the public pool with waterslides opens up. Side trips to Montpelier, Soda Springs or Chesterfield Ghost town are interesting.

It’s our favorite Thanksgiving vacation.
It’s our favorite Thanksgiving vacation. Swimming gets pricey, particularly when you can’t re-enter, but it is part of the experience - my family has to go to both swim spots every year. The indoor pool with the play area for kids, and the outdoor hot pools because I’m the mom and I get to do what I want.
The town itself is an experience, walking around for coffee and ice creams. Lovely market with all the necessities. A handful of tasty restaurants. It feels like home for a girl from a small town.

Old hotel with a lot of charm.
Old hotel with a lot of charm.
But we did not like the pictures om Booking.com with outdoor hotsprings, which we understod was at the hotel. It was some nearby public bath to pay for.
When we told the reception about this misleading information with the pictures, they did not care and just said "Tell it to the hotel owner".

The indoor hot spring tubs were beautiful and the perfect temperature. The breakfast was delicious and generous! We were disappointed that there were no outdoor tubs even though it was advertised that there were.

Cute town with a variety of restaurants. Try the turkey bacon wrap at The Chuck Wagon and the burger from The Shack, both were excellent! The hot pools were perfect and so well maintained. Fun weekend getaway!

Definitely recommend.
Definitely recommend. The river is a must to go rafting down. Always do it for a half day, so you have enough time to go down as many times as you wants. Make sure you book a shuttle. the hot springs and pool are awesome and they have so many fun little shops to check out. The Atrium is fun and Blue Jay Inn and the Purple Moon to name a few are worth checking out. Great food and ice cream all over

I like it for its small home. away from home feel. it’s more like a little apartment than most hotels. come complete with oven, stove and even utensils. super friendly personnel. this was our second stay at this location and I loved it both times. it’s pretty close to the hot springs very walkable with our family we still drove. it has designated parking which is nice also.
that said it’s not a luxury apartment but we love it here especially for the price.
The location of the Alpaca Inn was fantastic. It was off the main beat and very quiet. Very close to restaurants, the grocery store and the hot tubs at the Lava Hot Springs Inn. Opted not to go to the public hot springs as there were to many people and we would have had to drive to it. The staff was very nice and helped out with all are needs.
The hotel is right in the middle of town, nicely located with an easy walk to the hot springs and the river tubing and the interesting shops. There is a nice little garden in the middle and the decorations give it a homey feel. The rooms are nice sized and comfortable and well planned. We had a very nice stay.
Loved having the full kitchen and two separate bed rooms. Liked the location close to food and shopping. Loved the small quaintness of the hotel. Cozy place. Feels like a home. Owners and staff are amazing and go above and beyond for you.
Great old place, from what I understood the oldest hotel in the Lava centre, in a great location. Good beds, nice staff and the private hot spring baths were a nice feature. Will stay again when in the area!
There aren’t any big hotel chains in the area, just several small places. The Lion Gate Manor is the most amazing experience in the area! also, the breakfast is homemade and amazing!!!
