A Millionaire's playground, Miami Beach is all about sun, sea and sand. Popular as a spring break destination, its miles of pristine sands shelve gently into the turquoise Atlantic Ocean.
Lining the beach are tall palm trees and the promenade, famous for the beautiful people that go rollerblading by. Add to this a warm, subtropical climate and you can see why many celebrities have chosen to set up home in Miami Beach.
You might even spot some of them shopping in the designer boutiques along Lincoln Road. And if your budget doesn’t quite stretch that far, there’s still a great range of shops with more moderate prices, including Aventura Mall and CocoWalk.
The city also has its fair share of culture, including the Art Deco District, which houses the world’s largest collection of Art Deco architecture, including some of the brightly-lit Miami Beach hotels on Ocean Drive.
Comprising a series of islands just across Biscayne Bay from Miami (the route you take from Miami Airport), this city has a heavy Latin American influence, which is evident in the cuisine and fantastic nightlife. Whether you choose Miami Beach accommodations in the North Beach, Mid Beach or South Beach areas, a Cuba Libre - rum and coke - is never far away.
It was the best beach I ever went
And the water was amazing
I have no wrong things to say
I would go again . My favorite spot was the park before you go to the beach and of course the beach.
I eat mostly in Catina restaurant: amazing food and staff

This was my first time to Miami Beach.
This was my first time to Miami Beach. The art deco architecture did not disappoint me. Thank goodness there was a woman back in the '70s who decided to help preserve all of that architecture. There is a tribute to her on Ocean drive at the tourist building. The beach is huge and there is a wonderful strip Park that travels the entire length of the Miami Beach area that you can walk or jog or bicycle. There are numerous restaurants along Ocean drive or back one or two or three blocks. There's a huge pedestrian Mall shopping area in the northern part of South Miami Beach. It's very easy to get into the city. If you have a rental car, it's just a short drive. Then you can be in the design district or Wynwood. Our favorite restaurant was Puerto Saugua. Their prices were reasonable for this area and I think it was pretty authentic Cuban influenced food. I had a bowl of pork stew with rice and fried sweet plantain bananas. Incredible. There is also a trolley system that is free that can get you up and down the entire strip. Like many other cities in the country, Miami Beach has a homelessness problem. But we never felt unsafe anywhere that we went.

The traffic is insane!
The traffic is insane! We enjoyed our time in my Miami for a conference but the commute was so long. The weather and hospitality was so nice. The views of the ocean was breath taking creating a calmness in our soul. Thank you Miami for bringing beauty and rest in this wacko-doodle world of ours. Bev T

I thought Miami Beach would be more "Beachy" but we found the beach itself a bit boring. So, we turned to the city for fun, and we found many great places to eat and hang out. The free trolley service made it easy to explore North, South, and all between. This is a great place for a few days, a bit unique from other places.

Excellent stay.
Excellent stay. The room/apartment is spacious and has all the necessary amenities required for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect. Just be aware that it is on top of Bar Palace. For us it was not an issue, it was a plus. Roof top pool access is also a must. Perfect hotel/apartments for a stay full of activities. It is not for relaxation. You should know that if booking any stay at Ocean Drive. Thank you.

Too much traffic.
Too much traffic. Streets blocked all around due to murders during spring break. Financial disparity overwhelming. Yachts and mansions yet the working class can't pay their bills or obtain good jobs.
The best location for visiting both Miami Beach and Miami. It's 5 mns walking to Ocean drive on one side and 5 mns walking to the bus and visit Miami on the other side. The hotel is very easy to reach by bus from the airport. For drivers there is a public car park just in front. It's very quiet with a nice decoration and the breakfast is very good. We had a wonderful stay in this hotel.
Bus stop for the Airport Express Bus (bus no. 150) right outside the building. Bus cost only $2.25 while the taxi had a fixed rate of $35 between MIA and Miami Beach. Just some 200 meters from the beach, I found the hotel location very good. Walking up and down the South Beach was great.
The Henrosa is a classic art deco hotel on Collins Avenue just a half block from the beach and all the restaurants on Ocean drive in the heart of South Beach. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The valet service is worth the price as street parking is nearly impossible.
We loved this hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and have lots of advice. The decor is brilliant and the rooms were big. Rooftop pool has an excellent atmosphere and you were a 2 minute walk from south beach. On the beach you have access to sun loungers which is perfect!
The position is what expected, right on Ocean Drive. The hotel give us a discount for umbrella and beach beds on the beach just in front. And that was nice. Moreover, hot water and cold water were always available at the lobby. That said, all the rest was just ok.
The room with balcony was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is close to the beach and South Pointe Park. There are several good restaurants at walking distance. We definitely enjoyed our stay at Prime Hotel.
I love this hotel! It's seconds away from a nice lounger on the beach, with a warm pool and great service at the bar and restaurant. Close to South Beach restaurants and Ocean drive. Never have a problem getting a taxi to the pier or airport.
Perfect location on Ocean Drive! Only place to stay in South Beach😊😊 ocean is right across the street.. Lots of restaurants to choose from! My favorite had to be the restaurant at the hotel
Called Kanoli . Great food & staff was Awesome!
I had an ocean front room with great views and liked that the property is right on the beach. It's not far to walk for a morning swim / beach walk. This is definitely a quiet hotel, best suited for families and/or older couples.
Walking distance to beach. Also, since the hotel is located on Ocean Drive, the Trolley service, which is free, really came in handy. You can travel to North Beach or South Beach via Ocean Drive using the free Trolley service.
The Cadet Hotel is a lovely retreat within the heart of South Beach. It provided a calm and classy environment and it was great to come back and relax after being out and about in the chaos of Miami Beach!
The location is amazing. One of the cheaper hotels on the strip but it certainly does not disappoint. The staff that work here are the best and the rooms are super roomy and comfortable.
Pleasant hotel with good sized rooms and a nice pool/patio garden out back. Very nice staff. At the quiter end of Miami beach away from madness of South Beach but still walkable.
Two pools, meaning a choice based on the business of the hotel.
Our room was quiet and luxurious - impressive given the hotel is right on South Beach
Incredible location!
What made the experience great was the staff service . Room location was the best . Ocean view and hotel is in the heart of south beach and all the restaurants and bars
Amazing vintage/art deco historical hotel. We were upgraded to a huge grand suit. The pool garden was in our opinion the best on pool garden on South Beach.
