I travelled alone. I'd never been here before. I liked that it wasn't over commercialised. Weather was amazing (October) There was everything that was needed at this resort. I.e. supermarkets. Lots of tavernas/eating places to pick from, I.e Farmers House, Golden Bay Hotel restaurant with stunning sunset views. 4 local beaches. An excursions train.. Good, regular bus service into Chania (21) Was literally, end of season, so tourists were clearly abit sparce, but not any of the hospitality in the restaurants. All accessible to the locality of this resort. I was happy with my choice of resort.

Close to Chania.
Close to Chania. Bus 21 or 15 for 1.1€ (If you buy the ticket from the ticket machine or ticket desk) or 2€ (if you buy it from the bus driver) gives you a lift to Chania in 25 minutes. Google maps shows the bus schedule right. It has many restaurants and shops.

Close enough to Chania that we could drive in 20 minutes, quiet area and family friendly. The nearby beaches make this a great location to stop and rest and plan the remaining trip around the island particularly if you are visiting the west coast and central Crete.

Great area close t the city.
Great area close t the city. A great mix if you want the beach not to crowded and small but at the same time close to the ngihtlife of the Chania.
The 3 beaches are close to each other and a bit different between each other, so each of them is kind of particular. The beach is sandy and the water is transparent. One of the best we found on the island.

The various beaches are all very clean with enough space for those who don’t want a sun bed. The surrounding area is beautiful and it’s a 4Km walk along the coast to Chania. Busses also run frequently into town.
We had a wonderful stay at golden bay. The hotel has a lovely feel to it and an amazing location right on a beach. We travelling with a toddler and it was a lovely calm bay for him and a few options in close walking distance if it was windy. The inside restaurant was lovely with good value breakfast available. We caught the bus into town a few nights and hired a car from opposite the hotel. Crete in October was a real delight and we were so happy with everything at this hotel
- Very friendly staff who did their best to accommodate us.
- Clean apartment with good air conditioning.
- Daily housekeeping with clean towels.
- Decent restaurant for a “hotel restaurant” with friendly waitstaff
- Nice pool area at Stellina Royal which, at the time of our stay, was not busy at all (unlike the other 2 pools at Stellina Village). This made for some very relaxing times in what felt like a private pool. Pool towels were provided.
Great place to stay and great host Helen, who met us with treats and was very helpful throughout our stay.
Villa is in perfect condition, very modern and definitely better than most of luxurious hotels.
Lot of beaches and restaurants nearby.
You would definitely need a car to see all the palaces and since we were too late to hire any in high season we will definitely be back to Villa Ismini again to explore Crete.
Short but really pleasant stay. Nice, clean, quite big apartment. Great pool if you don't feel like going to the beach, which is just 200meters away. Bar with many options for snack, lunch or dinner. Andreas was really great host! Next time visiting Crete, we'll definitely come here!
Appartment is located in a quiet street, has 3 balconies and is fully equipped including air condition in bedrooms. 2 min walk to local beach, Bus stop to Chania around the corner. Perfect location for trips around Western Crete. Hosts are very friendly and helpful.
Nice and clean rooms, lovely staff, perfect location with bus stop, super markets, restaurants and bakeries next to it. There are 3 nice beaches within a 5-10 minutes easy walk from the hotel. We had a great stay at this hotel!
Lovely hotel, lovely room, x2 pools, plenty of sunbed space, friendly and helpful staff, great food and drinks/cocktails. Live music event was great. Easy to get into and back from Chania if you want to.
Excellent value for money. Room cleaned daily. Three beaches within walking distance. Markets and restaurants nearby. I would be happy to stay again at calypso hotel apartments.
There are some parking slot
The breakfast is standard but good and correct
The beach is very nice, quiet place
There are supermarket very close to the hotel
The house is perfect to explore the west part of Crete. Ianni is really helpful, he recommended us several places and activities. We will love to come back.
Location is great (close to Chania and the nearby beach is nice) and the hotel looks really wonderful. The staff is very nice, rooms are clean and modern.
