It's a good city to walk around! So much to see and do, definitely need time!! Don't bother with the Sherlock Holmes museum!! Madam Tussauds is a MUST, a good 2 hours spent there. Legoland is awesome, we arrived at 10.30, left at closing and didn't quite see it all. Would recommend packing food, the food prices are over the top.

One of my favourite cities. So much to do and see.

One of my favourite cities. So much to do and see. It can be very busy like most cities, especially on the weekend, but there are so many back street pubs and cafes to choose from. Do make a booking if you a specific place in mind for dinner though. The city is very walkable and on a sunny day there is nothing better than taking a stroll along Southbank to The Globe Theatre and stopping for a refreshment in The Swan bar and restaurant next door, then heading across the pedestrian bridge to the north side and strolling up that side of the river. There is also an "uber" ferry that takes you from one side of the river to the other if you don't fancy the walk. In the evening Kingly Court just of Camden Market has some amazing places to eat. You should also book a table at Cahoots for a fun couple of hours, the cocktails are great (if a little expensive) and the venue is 1940's themed and set in an old underground station.

    1) London is a place worth visiting and it alone requires at least 5 days of visit. The British Museum, Churchill War Rooms, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey all require at least half a day of visit each. 2) Getting around London is easy, since it has a very sophisticated underground system. But a lot of underground walking is required when changing trains or using the Jubilee line. Visitors should also pay attention which direction (i.e. westbound, eastbound, southbound or northbound) they are going when changing trains. 3) Westminster is always packed with visitors and tourists. There was a cycling event on Sunday and roads in the Mall and around Trafalgar Square and UK Parliament were closed and visitors found it very inconvenient.

We stayed a few days in Greenwich which is like a small village, surrounded by the green spaces of the park and the maritime museum complex. Amazing to see the masts of the Cutty Sark peaking out over the top of the roofs, visible from almost everywhere in town. We then had a night in the West End, saw Hadestown, which was wonderful, and toured the Sir John Soane museum, a small gem of a museum great for those interested in Classical architecture and detaiol, 18th-19th Century architecture, and art (especially Turner).

I have stayed 8 nights in this hotel for my first trip to London, I’m very picky when it comes to hotels so I did my research before choosing this one! There is a lot to like, from the lovely staff, great location that was very close to two tube stations, beautiful atmosphere to the historical side of the building.. the rooms were spacious enough for a hotel in central London, clean, beautiful and quiet. All of the staff were always helpful and friendly and the check-in check-out process was very smooth.

Hotel is decent, near the Paddington tube station. It's not at all high end, but then it's also far cheaper than higher end hotels, and is still in a relative decent location close to the tube line and railway station. Rooms were quite small, but par for the course in London hotels of this category. Room was cleaned well and we had no complaints with any staff members. Basic hotel, but decent value for the price and good location near Hyde part and transportation services.

Room was very cheap for central london on a champions league night. The building and room interiors were really nice, old school english vibe. The staff were extremely friendly. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was spacious. The room (top floor) was eerily quiet, considering it is 10m from Shepherds Bush underground. The hotel facilities are very bare bones, but we wanted a nice comfy, quiet couple of rooms for a work trip and thats exactly what we got.

I’ve been staying in cheap hotels part of the week for work since moving out of London about a year ago and have stayed in some ok places and some real dives (Not looking at you Forest Gate Hotel…) The Amhurst is easily the best of the lot so far. It was super clean, the owner was really friendly and it was generally cozy. Top marks. Bonus tip: ten minute walk away is a chip van that does the best fish and chips in London! The hotel is well located, being about halfway between Heathrow airport and the West End. We stayed here for two nights when we arrived in England then went elsewhere for several weeks then returned for a longer stay. We also stayed here last year. We loved the location, great value for money and the apartments give you extra facilities. The staff were all really nice and friendly and breakfast was great. Perfect hotel for a stay in London! The Covent Gardens area is fantastic and this hotel is right in the heart of it. The room was a huge size (with two floors, which I've never seen in a hotel before haha). Very comfortable bed and large-sized bathroom! Would definitely recommend it. Fantastic value for money as most hotels in the area are significantly more expensive.
