The Hotel itself is very nice and feels like an oriental deam from 1001 nights. it is very beautifully architected and built, very colorful and has great facilities, incl. a fantastic pool. However, the best thing about the hotel is its location at the top of a hill with incredible views of the surrounding desert and the river Nile below. Unlike Cairo, Aswan is much slower paced and people are much nicer. The city has several historical sites, temples, and islands. The views and food are amazing. I’m skipping Cairo on my next trip to Egypt and coming straight to Aswan and Luxor.

A very beatiful place to relax and enjoy the sun during winter. We felt very safe and happy. The local market is great it has unique and authentic goods. The philae Temple is great it has spots to take photos and great views. We enjoyed the Botonical Garden very much as it has plants from all over the world. The feluca ride is one of the best things we enjoyed but first you have to agree on the price.

Tombs of the Nobles were really neat if you can make it over to the other bank. Watch out for the camel guys there though. We got roped into $50 camel rides. Aswan was probably our least favorite stop in Egypt. Harassment by salespeople was higher here than at the Great Pyramids, and much higher than Luxor! We couldn't walk anywhere at anytime of the day without a salesperson walking with us for several blocks. And as soon as they were done, someone else would take over. Its too bad, I think the corniche could be a really pretty walk!

Aswan is pleasant pretty city on upper Nile within easy day excursion to Abu Simbel. Don't ride camel at Giza, ride one at Aswan out into the desert. Ride felucca boat around Elephantine Island. Eat at King Jamaica restaurant. Stop to see unfinished obelisk

Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I didn’t realize that the hotel was undergoing a little construction. It looked like they were upgrading their ramp. This meant we had to carry our bags up the stairs to the lobby. The property is beautiful and has a terrific view of the town and we could see the Nile from our room. The restaurant was very good- we had dinner there. BTW the construction noise never bothered us. We couldn’t hear it at all.

If you are doing the Initiatic path, Elephantine Island is so perfect. We stayed at Mango Tree (feel like exotic move stars) and Nubian Dreams (also a restaurant but we scored their top floor room and that is super fun) We also stayed at Nubian Palace, oh my gosh. Take a little private ferry and go to that place. Its so memorable. Philae temple was set up from our host at Nubian Palace (which we usually never do but she is a badass and handles it so you don't have to negotiate to and from the ferry marina) Stay on the west bank. Never the east. Its so loud and full of hustle. The west bank is like real Egypt. Lovely. Easy to start the temple path to Abu Simbel by hopping on a local large bus. Fun, cheap, easy. (Its a little more coming back but its all very cheap so be nice and accept the system) From here you can take a train, bus or private taxi to Kom Ombo and Edfu as you make your way to Luxor. (ALSO STAY ON THE WEST BANK in luxor) What a lovely quiet and profoundly spiritual adventure.

Everyone there is very helpful to us specially with the luggage and other things we need. they also arrange our trip to abu simbel and trip to Philae temple and even help us with our trip to luxor. I also love the nile river view and how peaceful it is to stay there. away from the crowd and noise from the city. Special thanks to Mr. Qasem for taking care of us in our entire 2 days stay aswan. And also, I'm in love with their floating restaurant.

This was one of our favourite hotels we stayed in while in Egypt. The staff are the real star of this hotel and go out of their way to assist with anything you might need. Our room was spacious with a large balcony overlooking the Nile. The food at the hotel was absolutely delicious. There’s a lovely pool area where you can also chill out with a book and a beer as I did! The hotel is close to the Nubian museum and a short walk from the river front in Aswan so you have the best of every world.

Good location. Lovely decorations and room is quite new with good view to Nile river with balcony. Service is exceptional, over our expectations at first. Good stop to stay and discover Aswan after some discoveries with long walking in Cairo since the hotel is very quite and made us feel very peaceful with good sleep. Can book boat tour directly from hotel too with reasionable price. Besides, love the hotel's staff and manager, all is super duper supportive.

Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Especially thanks to Ahmed, we could spend great time there. The guest house is located in the heart of Nubian Village, people are great. Very clean and cute rooms. Good value for a cost efficient trip. But the greatest part was the breakfast. It was humble but the best, especially comparing similar hotels and guest houses in Egypt. We will always remember this cute village and Lawanda Nubian House. Thank you!

EVERYTHING! Literally everything, the location was just amazing.. true, it's far away from central Aswan, but waking up every day in a small island in the middle of the Nile was magical! Staff were very attentive and helpful: Mahmouda, Choura, Nardin, Fadi, Eman, and the rest! Unfortunately, we discovered the spa on the last day.. so please do not miss it. The best hotel in Aswan and of what we have been traveling in Egypt. Super attentive staff, they look for us taxis - with price list-, takeaway, because if I had to find a but, it is that there is no restaurant service. Everything very clean. Located in the middle of the market. Very honest and reasonable with prices. I recommend it 100x100.
