Our home is a charming 18th century cottage situated directly on the New Forest, where forest ponies and cattle often graze right outside our gate. A few minutes walk from the village of Brockenhurst in the heart of the New Forest National Park. Rooms are cottage-style in size and beautifully decorated, offering a cosy and comfortable place to stay for a few days or even longer. You could bring your dog here or even your horse. Please enquire. There is much to offer on the doorstep with endless horse riding hiking and walking opportunities from the front door. Local stables offer escorted rides out in the forest and bicycles are for hire in the village of Brockenhurst to explore the many cycle tracks which go as far as the Royal Oak pub in Lyndhurst. If you want to totally relax and do nothing the cottage has a pleasant garden to sit in and read a book or relax with a drink.
Most of my friends would describe me as a relaxed and an attentive host, enjoying meeting new people and sharing my love of the area with them. Married and living back in the New Forest where I was brought up and most of my family live. I love my dogs and horses and the surrounding countryside, that is the unique location of the New Forest. I have travelled extensively and lived and worked for years in Camden, London. I love music and dance.
Whether you prefer open moorlands and heath, or lawn and ancient wooded areas, a romantic break or a holiday to ride, cycle, walk or watch wildlife, you literally have it all on your doorstep. Centrally located, with a mainline train station to London Waterloo (approximately 90 minutes), Brockenhurst has a range of local stores, Post Office, restaurants and pubs, cycle hire shops and riding stables, as well as a popular golf course. Beaulieu Motor Museum is only a few miles away. It is close to the pretty villages of Burley, Lyndhurst, Beaulieu, Milford on Sea and Lymington Town, with its harbour, Saturday market and ferry to the Isle of Wight. Situated barely 15 miles from Southampton, off the M3 and near to Junction 1 of the M27, while also close to Bournemouth and the Dorset coastline, we are in an ideal part of the New Forest National Park for places to go and things to do. ​
