Our room was big, comfortable beds, great A/C, the hotel in general was very clean.
Great security. There was always someone at the front desk, as the door was always locked.
They also have an elevator which always helps.
The root top pool was small but perfect. We enjoyed many margaritas at the bar in the shade. Thank you Carolina!

- Good location, the music wasn’t as noisy as in other hotels similarly located. We could barely hear it in our room, although there was a time with lots of taxis beeping their horns which was quite annoying.
- staff were super friendly and helpful
- breakfast was good
- beds were super comfortable
- wifi was very good
- nice big towels
- I did see some of the comments from other people about rooms being dark, there are sufficient lights to keep it well lit and at least in our room we had an external facing window.
- great bathroom in my opinion.

We were expecting a beautiful beach with sunbeds, but it didn´t look very appealing to spend time there, so we had to go to Rodadero instead, it is of course crowded there, but the beach is nicer. The service is unfortunately not better and we also couldn´t find sunbeds at the beach, just chairs and the price was exagerated

Santa marta is a nice place for a good vacation.
Santa marta is a nice place for a good vacation. It’s easily accessible with short connecting flights from bogota, Medellin and Panama City. The city is affordable and safe. Taxis are relatively cheap and safe making getting around easy.

Santa Marta is a cool little town.
Santa Marta is a cool little town. It seems more like the "local" vacation spot where Colombians go to vacation or the beach. My group seemed to be the only Americans in town. We found some great local restaurants and everyone was very nice. Very few English speakers though.
Everyone recommends Playa Blanca - but it's only accessible by boat. We chose Playa Rodadero in town and it was fun. Lots of merchants constantly asking you to buy things though.

Santa Marta is a nice city, but its historic town isn't of the same caliber as Cartagena. It is smaller and much less restored/developed. There is one long lane running through the historic district that has a lot of restaurants and cafes. The beach in Santa Marta proper is not very nice and is reported to be polluted. Given that there is a marina on one end and a large port for container ships on the other that is easy to believe. El Rodadero is a nice area, but again the caliber of the restaurants and cafes is not nearly that of Cartagena and it is much more of a party town than Boca Grande in Cartagena.
I have been staying at this hotel for several years. I was always treated very good. That´s why I have never been to another hotel in Santa Marta/ El Rodadero. I can recommend it. Very good location close to the El Rodadero Beach. Good breakfast with nice service (ask for what you may not see), the local Cayeye on Wednesdays is highlight. A friendly reception. A very good room service. Nice rooms with a very good air condition. Supermarkets and the bus to Santa Marta are very close.
Friendly and efficient check-in at a budget-traveler minded hotel in El Rodadero and located close to restaurants, bars, and short walk to the beach. Clean, basic room with strong A\C and the nicest towels I’ve used in a Colombian hotel -thick, soft, absorbent -it’s the little things that sometimes make a big impact. This is a safe, secure, family-oriented hotel located close to anything you want to do in El Rodadero and it’s a great price for what you get.
Took a last minute trip to Santa Marta and had a great time here. The staff were lovely and very helpful if you had questions or needed help with transportation. Breakfast in the morning was good and very filling. The hotel is perfectly located right across from the beach and a few minutes away from Centro, so I found it easy to get around the main sites in the area just by walking.
We only stayed one night on our way to Cartegena, but would definitely recommend Casa Verde. Great location in Santa Marta, close to Parque de los Novios and lots of shops and restaurants. We arrived early, left our bags and came back at check in time to find our bags in our rooms.
Cute, old hotel in SM with helpful staff and a good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
A lovely family run hotel in the colonial part of Santa Marta. My room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable too. Great vibe in the guesthouse with hosts always there to help and make the stay of the guests as pleasant as possible. I was given advice on local attractions as well as provided valuable info about transport options. Highly recommended. Bojan
I really recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax in peace and quiet in the city of Santa Marta. The owner and service were very kind and helpful, they helped us with everything we asked. Camali hotel is a place with beautiful rooms, big, clean pool and also is surrounded by nature on all sides. We spent such a good time here. Wish we could stay longer :)
Really beautiful building in the center of Santa Marta with well decorated and spacious rooms. The location is good with lots of nice restaurants around. The breakfast in the hotel was good too, especially considering the price per night. Lastly, the staff was friendly and helpful so we would recommend staying at la Casa Rosa if you’re in Santa Marta!
Probably the best stay we had in Colombia! The breakfast was amazing, the hotel grounds were clean and well kept & overall relaxing. The location is on a quiet street, but a quick (~5min) walk to the beach and to the central area where all the restaurants and bars are. Also only a 10 mins walk to the bus stop to minka & tayrona.
This place is amazing! Beautiful. I really recommend it. The owner is also really very helpful. Such a great experience. If I'm back in the Santa Marta region, this is where I will stay! Excellent location, not far to walk to shops, supermarket and good restaurants and also 5 star hotels (breakfast and dinner options).
This small hotel is at a walking distance from the historic district of Santa Marta. It is unpretentious but decorated with taste.
Our room was clean and comfy. It had A/C, which was a plus given the high temperature outside.
The breakfast was good and filling.
The staff at the front desk were polite and helpful.
The attention was excelent. Gisela and Alber are great hosts always willing to solve any inconvenience. The location of both of their hotels (this one in Santa Marta and the other at Taganga) is great. It is not a 5 stars experience but as the name of the hotel says, its comfortable in all aspects. We're thankfull
Everything was perfect. Room was very clean all bathrooms too. Hotel looks so beautiful. In kitchen you can find all equipment that you need. It wasn’t that hot in room I could rest without any problems. And I love cat that’s lives there. Hotel it’s in center of Santa Marta close to everything.
The hotel is one block away from the beach, in the central area of Santa Marta, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
The staff is really nice, room was cozy, quite spatial, clean. They have nice balcony, where you can sit by a table or chill in a hammock.
Absolutely love this hostel and will keep coming back. Great pool. Great events. Easy to meet people. Just all around great. Cheap drinks at the bar. Hands down best hostels in Santa Marta and arguably best Viajero In Colombia maybe just behind Tayrona Viajero.
This was hotel immaculately clean, quiet, and amazingly beautiful. Attention to detail in ever aspect of design. Staff was extremely pleasant, responsive, and always had the necessary items you needed. Will stay here every time I come to Santa Marta.
The staff are so friendly and helpful and make your stay so enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, very clean and have well maintained. This is certainly my go-to hotel in Santa Marta.
Clean, spacious rooms in comparison with other similar priced hotels in the centre of Santa Marta. comfortable bed. Nice bar area and good swimming pool.
