There is basically not much to see in Neiva from a turistic...
There is basically not much to see in Neiva from a turistic point of view. They have an archeological museum but it is closed at the weekends. The waterfront is pretty badly maintained and not much of the river water can be seen. Some of the food vendors in the market take advantage of the foreigners and double the prices. Unless you are really interested in seeing what this city looks like, it is not worth it. The place is hot, with temperatures of 32-34 in the day and 22-23 during the night.

Provincial capital, strategic location for excursions to desert and San Agustin. Good airport with many regional connections. Really not much to to do there. Busy downtown area like most Colombian cities, few things to see by the riverside. 1 day is more than enough. Climate hot and humid.

Neiva looks sad, abandoned, and dangerous. There is nothing interesting to see. Stay away. I stayed there one night and it was too long. Certain hotels show pictures that do not represent reality. Don’t fall for it.

There is not much to visit in this town.
There is not much to visit in this town. Also it is quite dirty in many tourist spots. For the first time in Colombia I had the impression, that some people are extremely unfriendly. My recommendation is, if You have to go there, stay only as long as necessary and leave the town as soon as possible. For me the Tatacoa desert is also no place that You have to visit. I was quite disappointed. There is one bus company, that serves most places: Coomotor. These people are very unfriendly.

Nice and friendly people in Neiva. City undergoing construction thus making getting around difficult. Too congested at times and motorcycle riders a big traffic menace. No traffic rules being observed by motorcyle riders and some cabs.

The air conditioning functioned well and it was not too close to the bed. In many OTHER hotels here the air conditioning blows right onto the bed and the temperature cannot be regulated; they just blow colder and colder. If you don't see what you want at breakfast you can special order it.

But once there, you will notice it is really easy to access from there to all the places. They have a good parking space. The staff is very nice, and the breakfast is good.
