The location was exceptional and the three days we spent there were very affordable. Along the Ninth River, it was quiet and the sound of water flowing wa soothing (there was also an electrical hookup for EVs). We loved watching the sheep and lambs across the river. The surprise was the owner is an Italian chef! We arranged to eat dinner at the hotel on our first evening after a long trip, and then we ate every meal there for three days! Each time was delightful. He grows vegetables in his garden and greenhouse, and everything was perfectly prepared. We highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely, bucolic setting and very clean and comfortable Cottage. The walk to town is extraordinary, with fields, rolling hills, a bridge over the river and sheep, but can take 20-25 minutes. There is also a river walk right in front of the cottage that will take you by the Euchan Well and waterfalls through a forest. Just delightful.

Breakfast choices were brilliant and very good quality The couple couldn't have done enough for our party They went over and above what most other hoteliers would go . I loved the baby goats and lambs in front of the hotel that greeted us on arrival! Very quiet, even the main road close by seems to fall asleep for the night. It is a family run place in a very old house, therefore, not very modern, however, there is all you need and it felt truly rural. We asked for a hair dryer and iron with a board and it was handed to us with a smile. Reasonably priced breakfast.
