The hotel was a wonderful little oasis in the middle of downtown and the staff were truly amazing. The room was lovely. And the pool had the best margaritas in Colombia!

The Capellán de Getsemaní is perfectly placed on the edge of the Getsemaní neigborhood near to the old town. The hotel is beautifully styled but the stand out is the attention to detail of the staff. They are helpful, positive and engaging.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, particularly Elizabeth on reception. She went out of her way to help us make arrangements for our daily activities, giving sound advice on the best things to do, assisting with bookings, taxis and more. She even set up a chat on WhatsApp and made sure to message us, even on her days off, to check everything had gone smoothly. The hotel itself felt like a second home, a vibe created by the warmth, friendliness and attentiveness of their wonderful staff. We stayed in 4 different hotels during our stay and this was by far our favourite!

absolutely beautiful property, located at the start of getsemani, and easy to reach the old town what I love is about this hotel were all the small touches. When we arrived, we were given a wet towel that smelt nice to freshen up. We had some arrival cheese and charcuterie in our room. Every evening we were given a little snack. All of these things made the stay exceptional. The coffee that they served at breakfast was some of the best coffee that I have tasted in Columbia. and the bonus is that above the swimming pool there is a deck with an amazing view of the city where there is also a Jacuzzi. It seemed that not a lot of people knew about this. So whilst everybody in all of Cartagena are crowding rooftop bars to watch the sunset, we had a completely available terrace on our own with a Jacuzzi with an amazing view, overseeing the city. This is an absolute gem, and I highly recommend this hotel to anybody, without a shadow of a doubt.

Everything. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant is excellent. The staff was very good. The waiter we had, Junior, was very attentive. Senor Rey was so attentive to our needs. The hotel supplied us with a wheel chair when we went to the fortress. The decoration of the hotel was lovely. The rooftop pool and look out was great. The mango sticks brought up by Inti Maria was a very nice touch to keep the guests cool while sunning. My last meal, ceviche natural, eaten on the look out level was excellent.

Beautiful boutique hotel in Getsemani and only a short walk from the old city. Getsemani is an absolute must visit - we almost enjoyed it more than the old city! The hotel had a lovely rooftop pool and bar and the rooms were fantastic. The staff were all incredible - particularly Jhonatan on the front desk who went above and beyond to help us, with nothing being too much trouble. He helped us with local recommendations and organising trips to the islands - we can’t thank him enough for making our stay so special!

Capellan Hotel in Getsemani is a special place to stay in Cartagena. First I want to speak about Getsemani: it is a popular and traditional neighborhood with culture, a good food scene, and a magic environment in its streets with dancing and street art. Perfect for discovering other sides of Cartagena. The rooms are big and comfortable, the beds are big and smell amazing, and personally, I loved the smell in all of the hotel. The spa and its services are absolutely stunning. The “Relaxing Massage” is very recommended. It's a little pricey but worth it. Excellent location, service, and environment
