South West Rocks is a lovely town.
South West Rocks is a lovely town. Salt is about 5-10 minutes from the beach and offers utter serenity. If you like fishing, rivers, beach, countryside and kangaroos - this is the place for you! Could not have been more charmed. One thing to note, it is a very popular spot and as a small town things close early (like 8pm) so make sure you arrive in time to find a spot to have dinner. Also it was very hot with lots of mossies as you’d expect so don’t forget bug spray.

The beaches are beautiful and accessible. There is shade and some seating in a park overlooking Horseshoe Beach with a kiosk and toilet facilities. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of locals and visitors. Trial Bay Gaol is definitely worth a visit.

SWR is a small country town very suitable for vacations with a family friendly Horseshoe Bay Beach, a variety of restaurants and plenty to do for visitors of all ages. I have been visiting SWR for many years and plan to return on another holiday. SWR is developing steadily and no high rise development to date. Safe roads with no traffic lights and walking or short drive to all facilities.

Love SWR!
Love SWR! Quaint little village with great shops, cafes and pub. The beach is family friendly. You can walk almost everywhere except the supermarket which is a short drive from town. We ate at the pub and local cafes. The food was great and the service was amazing. The locals are very friendly and oh so relaxed.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10
This town caught my heart.
This town caught my heart. I only stayed overnight, however as I drove through the town it was seemed somehow familiar. The people and businesses I interacted with seemed very nice and had the time to actually have a conversation with. If I wasn't stuck where I am, I would consider moving there. But I would have to visit a few more times to be sure if that would suit.

The park is located on South West Rocks Creek, making it so peaceful. The park has a track access which takes you to the Back Creek footbridge which you can cross to access the Back Beach or continue on to the boardwalk which takes you to Horseshoe Bay and into town. If you have never been here before, go for a visit, you want be disappointed.

One of the staff came around in the morning to ask if we needed any assistance which was another nice touch.

Beds were very comfortable, pillows were good too, and all covered in very cute Palm Tree linen. The kitchen was very well stocked with condiments and heaps of good quality utensils. We felt safe and secure and comfortable for our entire stay. I would definately re book this apartment next time we head back to South West Rocks.

All the furnishings, bedding and towels are spotless and comfortable. It has a very nice large kitchen for guests and lots of outdoor seating. It is right opposite the beach in the centre of town. The Manager is extremely helpful and efficient, and went out of her way to help us after we left something in the room. Will definitely be staying again.
