Symi is very beautiful and there are some lovely restaurants along the harbour. We would recommend walking up to the lovely church on top of the hill that you can see from the harbour as the view is fantastic. The closest beach didnt seem to have much there so and was very small so we walked along the rugged coastline but it was very rocky to get down into the water! We walked to the village Chorio high up in the mountain where there is a pretty church and an amazing view of Symi. It was lovely to see mountain goats and see chickens along the rugged pathway. We wish we had stayed another day so we could have visited the Monastery.

Symi is a beautiful little island, with an abundance of shops and restaurants to browse and choose from. We stayed around the main harbour area and didn't feel the need to hire a car or take a bus anywhere. We were happy to relax on our balcony for the most part, read, drink coffee and people watch. We did venture to the walk to the small beach one day for a swim, which was lovely.

Friendly people and picture perfect. It was not overcrowded.
Friendly people and picture perfect. It was not overcrowded. The restaurants are plentiful and served delicious meals with fresh seafood. Ferries are available for trips to local beaches. Watching the harbour fill each afternoon with amazing boats and yachts was great entertainment whilst sitting at a bar.

Symi is a most beautiful and friendly island.
Symi is a most beautiful and friendly island. Most people only come for the day but it has more than enough to offer for a much longer stay. I have now been three times (for a week) and have still not managed to visit the monastery! Perhaps next time...

Symi is a delightful island, a place you have to choose to...
Symi is a delightful island, a place you have to choose to visit as it can only be accessed via ferry from Rhodes. It personifies a typical Greek Island, born out of travel experiences anchored in the minds of visitors who first visited this region back in the day. The food is very tasty cooking, fresh food, served with love. There are cars here (ignore those who say there are none) and taxis are available, both via water and land. Most beaches have a taverna - a must-visit is Nanou with the goats and the best food I ate! If you have some limitations on yhour mobility be sure to check the accessibility within your accommodation (self-catering or otherwise) for steps, and also distance from the main port/harbour. The walking is great but be mindful of when to visit - this was a very hot summer and the weather for my visit in October was just right but still hot. I loved Symi.
Captain Yanni, his wife, entire family & staff were wonderful!
We took advantage of his private charter boat for our group of 6 for an island tour of the day. Private beaches, Monastery visit by boat, swimming, lunch at the most secluded beach restaurant all added up to one of the most magical days ever!
Location is perfect to soak in Symi’s views! We rented 3 rooms, each had own charm & character.
Rooms are clean and nice breezes flow through, or AC is available.
Cafe downstairs was a perfect meeting point for our family.
Our stay at Nikolitsi Studios was brilliant . The location just far enough to be away from the tourist crowds of the Town Centre so it was quiet and relaxing . Only 200m from the swimming beach . Our accommodation was beautifully appointed with all you needed on a holiday , open the doors and windows for the view across the Harbour .Fotinin the host picked us up from the ferry and dropped us off on departure and could not do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay .We would highly recommend Nikolitsi Studios for a stay on ash in
The staff were very friendly and always smiling.
The honesty of the owner Menolloes after we had booked he emailed to confirm that the balconies were all connected and not as private balconies.
Which we could easily see from the pictures
The balconies were actually great as they got the sun all day until sunset. Only one of the very few hotels in Symi that could say that. Amazing views of the harbour
The best stay at Symi Island. Everything was just perfect. The location directly at the sea offered nice views at breakfast. It is not in the centre of the main Village, but you can reach the centre easily with a small walk along the sea! There is also a good restaurant close to the accommodation. We really enjoyed the stay and will chose this place for the next Symi visit!
The location is top notch a quick 5 min to walk to the port where all the amenities (shops & restaurants are) very family friendly! We have 3 kids ages 8,6&5 and the accommodations were very spacious. The free breakfast in the morning is a nice touch. The pool is fantastic! Completely shaded and a nice break from the sun. It’s freezing cold but the kids don’t seem to care.
Beautiful property in the hills above Symi town, a 15 minute walk downhill to the harbor. The bus stop from
The town is very close to the house. We were four adults and the place was perfect. Nice kitchen and living space, large bathroom and enough bedrooms. The terrace is so nice for relaxing at the end of the day or enjoying coffee in the morning. A lovely stay.
We had a fantastic stay. Our hosts were so friendly, helpful, fun and caring. Could not wish for more. The house is ON the dock. You can't come closer to the water. We rented all 3 studios for our family of 8 people. Perfect place to stay. Tips - rent one of the small boats in Symi and visit all the nice beaches.
I can truly recommend Grace Hotel & Studios! Excellent location, just around the corner from the harbour. Nice and clean room with a comfortable bed. Thank you Vicky for your service, giving that little extra! Helping me with questions about Symi and making restaurant reservations.
Friendly family run hotel. Spotless, modern, tastefully decorated. The breakfast was wonderful! A great selection, mostly homemade breakfast items. For the price we paid for the room, it exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay again, if we make it back to Symi.
Fantastic view from the room and the breakfast area; very relaxing
The location is perfect around the corner from the village cafes, still very quiet; cannot imagine a better location in Symi ( an island to fall in love with)
Loved the apartment and how it had ALL the amenities that any traveller could dream off. Location was excellent right by the sea …owners were very kind and helpful! Provided plenty of info and offers for my stay on Symi!
