Wallace is an awesome little town that almost feels like a movie set opened to tourists. Its the center of the universe... that alone means ya gotta swing by. Its a great stop over. You can walk the town and poke your head in to all the shops in a hour our two so I think 1-2 nights max on the stay meeter. A great place if you going skiing on the boarder or traveling to or from Montana and need a layover.

You can walk the entire downtown core.
You can walk the entire downtown core. There’s a lot of history surrounding Wallace; we could have stayed longer to learn more. We ran out of time to walk the stairs throughout town.
Con: We’ve never seen so many dogs walking the streets, in the shops, and even on the counter of a bar!

I enjoyed the small, quaint, historic town, nestled in among the trees and mountains. My family loved the silver mining tour, shopping, eating dinner at The Fainting Goat, breakfast at the Brooks Hotel, and the close proximity to The Route of the Hiawatha Trail. This friendly little town is easy to walk around. We had a great time in Wallace!

Wallace is a lot of fun.
Wallace is a lot of fun. There was not any of the famous special events happening. I visited primarily to take advantage of all the GREAT ATV roads around. I went in the spring to do some mushroom hunting. Found morels and slippery jack bolets. Did some fishing. Enjoyed lunch at city limits. Hung out at the metals bar and enjoyed some local musicians and drinks.
Wallace is so much fun. I will stay again.

The reason why no Wi-Fi (internet) was critical for me, since there was no WI-FI and no cell phone service, at the hotel or area, it was impossible to coordinate with the group of us that was planning on doing a bike ride. I could not even communicate with family to tell them that I made it to my destination safely or at all. I was completely cut off from everyone I needed to be in contact with,
Based on the above, we will not visit Wallace again, especially the Wallace INN.

Loved the history and activities . Great little shops too.
Loved the history and activities . Great little shops too. Can see kids and adults enjoying this trip. Everyone that I met there was really genuine and I appreciate that. Not all fake like in a large city. Great getaway.
The staff was very nice and offered dining suggestions. We had dinner at Blackboard Market Place, Blackboard Café which was within easy walking distance. The bed was comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the small, quaint town of Wallace, Idaho and plan to return in the future!
The hotel room was a great size. Two TVs. Comfortable bed. The staff was considerate. We needed forks and knives because all the restaurants are closed on Monday, so we had to find a grocery store with food. They had them right at the front desk. Apparently, this isn't uncommon.
I love the “retro” look and feel while still having the
modern amenities that I expect. The owner went out of her way to have our room ready early as well as provide secure storage for bicycles.
You can easily walk to all the restaurants from the hotel.
They have a nice variety for breakfast. I had avacado toast with eggs and it was delicious. Service was great with hot coffee right away.
The location of the hotel is great as it is right downtown where there are several bars and restaurants.
Our room was SO NICE!! Very clean, spacious, great interior. The hotel staff were very lovely and helpful. The location is great right in the middle of town and walkable to everything. I would definitely stay here again.
The bed sheets were the whitest sheets we have ever seen, so crisp and cool. The hotel is in the town centre so everything is on hand and walkable distance. This hotel has history which you can feel, brilliant!!
I loved everything about this hotel the lady at the front desk was absolutely amazing I will definitely recommend this place to everyone and will most definitely stay here again
Fantastic location, owned privately so it has an extra welcoming warmth, Donna is fantastic! Restaurant downstairs delicious, no need to drive. When in Wallace I love this place
We had a very comfortable apartment, beautifully renovated. Pleasant reception. Breakfast was not included, but the hotel on site restaurant served us each an excellent meal.
The positives are everyone who worked there was incredibly kind. Good price great location and yes, mostly clean. Amazing little town I’d recommend anyone go to a Wallace.
I didn’t know there was breakfast at this motel. I loved Wallace. It was so beautiful and quaint. The manager at this motel was wonderful and so pleasant! 😊
